He serves on the board of directors of Oklahoma State University's Lew Wentz Foundation, and formerly a trustee on the University of Tulsa board. Bradshaw is a past board member of Tulsa Community Foundation, Tulsa River Parks Authority, Metropolitan Tulsa Urban League, YWCA Tulsa, and Tulsa Habitat for Humanity, Tulsa Area United Way, Domestic Violence Intervention Services (DVIS), and Junior Achievement of Oklahoma.

He serves as Chairman of Severn Bancorp, Inc. and its subsidiary, Severn Bank. Mr. Hyatt received his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1978, and is an honors graduate of Bryant College of Business Administration. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Anne Arundel County Bar Association. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Anne Arundel County Retirement and Pension System and the Anne Arundel Health System, Inc. Board of Trustees . Mr. Hyatt is a native of Annapolis, and resides in the area with his wife and three children.
