First Northern Bank company history timeline

1911

Northern Solano Bank moved from the former ice cream parlor into the new banking quarters in May of 1911, sharing space with a haberdashery, a harness maker, cigar maker, the Wells Fargo Express Company, and Pacific Telephone.

1912

Except for a few months following the flood of 1912, the Jensen Building was First National Bank's home for 35 years.

1980

On January 1, 1980, in order to reduce Federal Reserve requirements and operate with higher lending limits, the Federal Charter was relinquished in favor of a State Charter, and the Bank's name was changed to First Northern Bank of Dixon.

1986

A depository Branch was opened in South Davis. (In 1986, this depository office was consolidated into the Davis Office.)

1992

1992: The Bank becomes First National Bank of Pennsylvania following a successful merger in northwestern Pennsylvania.

1995

In 1995, a new parking lot was created across Main Street from the bank, and as a gift to the community, the bank commissioned D. Michael Thomas to create two three-quarter-life-size bronzes memorializing the Johnson County War.

1998

F.N.B. Wealth Management, established in 1998

2003

2003: F.N.B. Corporation, with assets of $4.6 billion and more than 125 locations, begins trading common shares on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “FNB.”

2005

In the fall of 2005, First National Bank opened a loan production office in Gillette that handles mortgage lending for the Gillette area.

2007

A full service Branch was opened on the Harbor in Suisun City. (In March 2007, the Suisun Branch was closed due to slower than projected growth in the city.

2008

In 2008, this office was consolidated into the Woodland Branch.

2009

In early 2009, the bank opened its first full-service branch, then called First National Bank of Sheridan, located at 29 North Gould Street in Sheridan.

2012

In July of 2012 after 127 years as First National Bank of Buffalo, the bank filed an application with the Wyoming Department of Banking to convert from a national banking charter to a state charter.

Delie was named CEO in 2012.

2014

2014: FNB officially moves its corporate headquarters to Pittsburgh from Hermitage, Pennsylvania.

2015

In November of 2015 after operating the Gillette Loan Production Office for ten years, the Bank opened its third full service office located at 200 South Kendrick Avenue in Gillette, with Justin Holcomb acting as its Market President.

2016

2016: FNB exceeds a milestone $20 billion in assets, making it the second largest bank based in Pittsburgh and across the state of Pennsylvania by assets.

2017

2017: FNB begins serving customers in the Southeastern U.S as it expands into North Carolina and South Carolina through a merger with Yadkin Financial Corporation.

2020

2020: FNB expands its physical branch network to include Washington, D.C. and Virginia, adding to its existing retail and commercial banking presence in the region.
