Performs all retail services functions as needed including, but not limited to: Establishes customer account relationships by opening various types of accounts such as checking, savings, certificates of deposits, IRAs, and merchant bankcards. Has knowledge of the current IRA regulations with the ability to open and maintain new and existing IRAs. Obtains and completes all necessary documentation for proper establishment of accounts. Adheres to all bank security and safety measures as stipulated in established security policies. Obtains basic knowledge of various bank services including First State Wealth Advisors, First State Bank Mortgage, Commercial and Consumer loans in order to effectively promote and cross-sell all bank products and services. Completes all required compliance training and complies with the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Act as well as all regulations which apply within the scope of the position. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to two years related experience and/or training required. Interview applicants and request specified information for loan application; request appraisals, applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to evaluation of loan application; analyze applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan; and correspond with or interview applicants or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information. Compile loan packages and facilitate negotiation with applicants according to established standards, such as fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms; make loan decisions or refer loan to Loan Committee for approval when appropriate; ensure loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy; assure timely loan closing and funding activities. Identify business opportunities for commercial depository and treasury management services in conjunction with routine calling habits; obtain requested depository and/or analysis statements to analyze with the Treasury Management Officer. Utilize government programs when deemed necessary to meet customer's credit needs. Assist customers with inquiries and information requests and resolve complaints relating to loan products and services offered. Participate in the collection procedures and processes of the loan officers to assure the timely collection of all delinquent accounts and develop revised loan repayment terms or schedules as necessary. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with loan businesses and other organizations to provide information regarding the lending programs and policies. Participate in the Bank's business development activities, represent the Bank in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local business groups, etc., and promote the Bank's favorable image.
