Summary/Objective:
The Mortgage Risk Analyst I is responsible for performing regulatory compliance tests and analysis of mortgage loans and home equity loans/lines.

Work with Mortgage Risk leadership to develop the Mortgage Department's annual compliance testing plan.
Develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for early warning signs of compliance concerns.
Monitor various indicators of risk - KRIs, QC results, compliance testing results, complaints, risk assessment results, etc., to identify weaknesses and assist in remediating.
Review new products/services for potential compliance concerns; prepare risk assessments.
Maintain knowledge of, and adhere to, the Credit Union's internal compliance policies and procedures.
Provide innovative, detailed, and practical solutions to an extensive range of demanding and complicated problems.
Make recommendations for changes to procedures and documentation.
Create and maintain gap analysis detail reporting.
Manage large data sets, troubleshoot, and develop efficient processes for collecting and aggregating data.
Communicate effectively with team members and Mortgage Department leadership.
Identify issues and elevate as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*For Both Mortgage Processor and Senior Mortgage Processor:
Prepare and review initial disclosure packages, including Loan Estimates, ensuring accurate loan setup and compliance with loan program guidelines.
Deliver disclosure packages to members via eSign or mail, based on their communication preferences.
Order and track required third-party reports such as appraisals, title, flood certifications, tax transcripts, and employment verifications.
Review borrower documentation for completeness and alignment with AUS findings; request and collect any outstanding items.
Process home equity applications from approval to closing, including communication with members, delivering required documents, and clearing pre-closing conditions.
Monitor and review title and property condition reports, escalating any issues to underwriting as needed.
Ensure timely submission of loan files to underwriting; update the LOS with verified information and clear conditions as received.
Manage government loan files, including coordination with lenders, tracking conditions, and providing updates to borrowers, MLOs, and agents.
Track key milestones such as underwriting timelines, financing contingencies, closing dates, and rate lock expirations; communicate proactively with MLOs.
Prepare and issue revised Loan Estimates in compliance with TRID for any changes in circumstance.
Communicate approvals to all relevant parties and conduct pre-funding audits, including verbal employment verifications.
Support the closing process and ensure confidentiality of all borrowers and loan information.
Uphold the Workers Credit Union “Workers Way” culture through daily interactions and behaviors.

Responsible for the successful and timely delivery of new projects through use of construction schedules, contract documents, land development budgets, environmental studies, geotechnical reports, engineering and architectural construction plans and permit compliance reports.
Establish relationships with public officials and governmental agencies, obtain entitlements and permits.
Coordinate and provide oversight of engineers, architects, and other third-party consultants to ensure success.
Coordinate the workflow and activities of project specific land development field operations (lot and amenity construction), including inspections.

Essential Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferably in civil engineering, building construction, construction management or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2-3 years managing and completing land development projects for communities of 500-1400 units with amenities.
Experience in engineering, sitework construction, or homebuilder land development.
Strong knowledge of site design, grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility design.
Experience navigating permitting process with municipalities, counties, and agencies.
Organized and detail oriented. Able to successfully multitask.
Must have strong Excel skills and proficiency in MS Project, Word and Outlook.
Ability to effectively draft presentations, articles, routine reports, proposals, and correspondence.
Excellent project management, communication (written and verbal), and leadership skills.
