About the Opportunity The Talent Acquisition Recruiter provides full-cycle recruiting and consulting to FirstEnergy's hiring managers across the designated business unit(s). This position reports to the Supervisor, Transmission Talent Acquisition. The job of Scoping & Estimating Engineer requires an individual to be self-directed with an interest and/or ability to create project scopes and estimates for Transmission Line and Substation projects. This position will work within a staff of engineers, business analysts, drafters and designers; both internal and external, engaged in a wide variety of preliminary engineering design, from the request for project scope and estimation through construction and record update. This position will be responsible for the successful completion of scopes and estimates for projects and advise of any issues that could impair the successful completion of the project on a proactive basis. Responsibilities include: * Analyzing technical project documents and available information to develop Conceptual Estimates for Projects requested by Project Sponsors. About the Opportunity The Talent Acquisition Recruiter provides full-cycle recruiting and consulting to FirstEnergy's hiring managers across the designated business unit(s). This position reports to the Supervisor, Transmission Talent Acquisition. Responsibilities include: * Focus on assisting building out our Transmission organization * Holding strategic consultation meetings with hiring managers and developing job postings based on the responsibilities and qualification requirements of open positions. * Partnering and strategically guiding/advising hiring managers through the recruiting process from posting through candidate acceptance * Ensuring diversity is appropriately represented at all stages of the hiring process in compliance with the guidelines outlined in FirstEnergy's hiring process policy (HR Letter 202) * Posting positions on FirstEnergy's internal and external career websites, as well as on relevant third-party job boards * Creating and executing candidate sourcing strategies, including sourcing passive candidates and leveraging skills for sourcing diverse candidates * Partnering with various niche and community groups, as well as internal stakeholders such as Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs), Community Involvement and External Affairs, to increase the diversity of candidate slates provided to hiring managers * Partnering with subject matter experts in the business units to develop a working knowledge of open positions across FirstEnergy. * Reviewing resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, education and knowledge in relation to position requirements. * Developing job specific pre-screening questions in conjunction with hiring manager's requirements. Utilizing the SuccessFactors "Staff My Organization (SMO)" Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage the recruiting process, capture candidate data and disposition candidates. * Conducting phone screens, interviews, and employee benefit overviews * Providing guidance to hiring managers to ensure that the recruiting process complies with State and Federal employment laws, and maintaining thorough documentation of requisition status, candidates considered and selection decisions * Developing and maintaining a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates, especially in the diversity arenas to strengthen our sourcing approach in this key area * Creating and fostering relationships with diverse industry professionals and organizations to attract candidates to meet Affirmative Action and diversity hiring goals. * Serving as FirstEnergy's main point of contact for various professional, community and diversity-focused organizations * Supporting the College Recruiting team and the company's general recruiting efforts by participating in career fairs and other networking and recruiting events as needed * Serving as an HR Lead for one or more ambassador teams as part of FirstEnergy's Ambassador Network recruiting program. * Serving as the company's main point of contact for external employment candidates from the point of initial screening through their ultimate disposition, including up to the point of hire * Providing complete and accurate information to motivate candidates and promote the FirstEnergy values, strengths, and opportunities. * Developing salary recommendations, in collaboration with the Compensation department as appropriate, by analyzing internal equity in relation to the candidate's skills and experience. * Extending job offers to candidates and handling the negotiation of salary and benefit terms * Proactively identifying and recommending opportunities for continuous recruiting process improvements. Continuously strengthening/learning new skills in the sourcing arena - specifically for diversity sourcing and creative sourcing strategies - and sharing best practices with peers. * Maintaining a high degree of confidentiality on projects and employee-related information. Qualifications include: * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline and a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience is required * In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience is required. Relevant work experience includes experience in Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, Talent Sourcing or Human Resources * Full-cycle recruiting experience for exempt, professional-level positions preferred. * Demonstrated capabilities for successfully sourcing diverse slates of candidates is preferred * Experience using creative sourcing strategies and resume mining * Strong organizational and follow up skills with a high level of attention to detail * Outstanding negotiation and influencing skills * Sound interviewing, organizational, public relations, negotiation and communication skills * Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems. In addition, your actual base salary will depend on various factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. The estimated pay range for this role is $82,000 - $101,000. The pay range for certain locations, including the state of New Jersey, include a 20% differential to account for an increased cost of living, making the pay range $98,400 - $121,200. About this opportunity This posting is for a Service Worker Relief position with FirstEnergy Pennsylvania Electric Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. Position Summary All Journey Line Worker classifications and the associated line of progression are represented by IBEW 777. This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening. We are hiring qualified Journey Line Workers to work throughout our service territory as Service Worker Relief roles in Distribution. Journey Line Workers are responsible for building and maintaining electric power systems and for restoring electric service to commercial, industrial, agricultural and residential customers. They are expected to test, frame and set poles; climb poles, work in confined spaces; splice and terminate cables. Our Line workers will have had successfully completed a federal or state sanctioned apprenticeship (with approved supporting documentation) and/or IBEW sponsored line worker apprenticeship. Work is predominantly outdoors and in all weather conditions. Line workers must be able to drive safely, work extended hours; travel/transfer to new headquarter upon request at any time (General Construction Positions), and wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment. This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The wage rate for this position is $ 53.74 per hour. This wage rate is specific to the locality of the job. Job responsibilities to include: Under general supervision regularly supervises the work of a small service crew, or does service work of a type usually done by one person. Work will include the use of hand and power tools; digging holes by hand for pole installation; climbing ladders, poles, embankments and towers; working at heights above 35' on poles and in aerial lifts; setting grounds; working with live circuits; and working in trenches, manholes and confined spaces. Sets and installs underground structures, locates, pulls, removes, splices or terminates cables. Installs and replaces equipment, meters and streetlights. Operates hydraulic equipment including: drills, boom truck, digger, pole tamper, hydraulic jack and bucket truck once certified. Operates lift equipment such as aerial lifts and line truck booms. Operates forklift to load and unload work materials and supplies. Travels by vehicle, motor boat or off-road utility vehicle (OUV) to access job sites May drive a Class A vehicle (i.e. bucket truck and line truck) to and from the job site. Must be capable of assuming supervisory and administrative responsibilities.
