Fisher Plows company history timeline
Dean L. Fisher, a civil engineer from Kansas and a United States Navy United States Navy SeaBee, founded Fisher Engineering in 1948.
By 1957, the trip-edge cutting surface and under-the-hood, belt-driven hydraulic systems were available in the FISHER snowplow line.
In 1984, Dean Fisher sold Fisher Engineering to Douglas Dynamics of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
In the Fall of 1990, David decided to take his “can-do” attitude and founded a company of his own.
The research and consulting required for the very first project at the start-up in the 1990’s was dependent on accurate results.
David’s son, Sean Fisher, joined the company in 1993.
In the early 2000’s, Fisher continued to offer more services to its clients: A Hazardous Materials division and Geotechnical Engineering division joined the already well-established Environmental Engineering and Fisher Laboratory.
Fisher Engineering, Inc. was established in 2007 with the aim of offering clients a responsive, personal solution to fire protection engineering services.
