The Parts Runner is responsible for, but not limited to picking up and delivering equipment, parts and supplies to and from jobsites, vendors and the Corporate Equipment Center location. For additional information about our company, visit our website at ***************** POSITION SCOPE The Field Crusher Mechanic is a safety sensitive position that performs routine maintenance as well as minor and major repairs, on all the equipment in the aggregate stock fleet. Needs to have experience as a general crushing mechanic that understands and knows how to weld, fix and repair crushing equipment. They will be responsible for examining the equipment when it is in for scheduled service to determine if additional service is needed. PRIMARY DUTIES * Diagnose and repair mobile rock crushing equipment, screens, and conveyors * Preform liner changes on jaw, cone and impact style crushers * Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, changing outerwear parts in crushers, checking/replacing bearings and belt on conveyors, recording of damage or misuse of equipment * Keep work area clean orderly; Maintain safe and responsible work habits in a shop or outdoor environment * Ability to weld/fabricate chutes, hoppers, structures and miscellaneous parts as needs in both shop and field environment * Travel to sites to repair equipment onsite * Ability to think quickly and adapt to ever changing field situations * Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) with coworkers, even in high stress situations. * Document and discuss with supervisor any major repairs that are discovered. * Personal protective equipment is required when performing this work, such as hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, protective clothing, gloves and other protective equipment as required by law. * Work can be in a mine or plant setting which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity and moving mechanical parts. * Mechanics are expected to supply personal tools. * May need to attend additional training sessions with different equipment manufacturers. * Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS * Applicants must be at least 18 years old * Minimum of 1-year previous crusher mechanic experience * Must hold an M.S.H.A. Part 46 Certificate Required (5000-23) * S.H.A. Part 48 Mining Certificate Preferred but can be trained on (5000-23) * Understand basic electrical and hydraulic schematics * Knowledge of the proper use for tools like wrenches, impacts, pry bars, electrical meters, hydraulic gauges, and lifting equipment * Able to communicate well with shop and field crews, technical support from the factory * Able to measure accurately with calipers, feeler gauges, and tape measures * Has knowledge of safety procedures for working with heavy equipment/objects * Basic welding/fabrication experience * Basic torch/plasma cutter experience * Basic understanding of rigging and overhead lifting * Basic understanding of forklift operation Fisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This position will be a travelling position where the qualified applicant will be required to integrate and travel with a project team or paving crew to assist with all the functions of the project. The individual must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Some night and weekend work will be required. Traveling is required for this position. $1,500 Sign-On Bonus! * Bonuses Payable following 90 days of employment PRIMARY DUTIES * Manage job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing * Supervise, direct, and assist project staff to ensure individual development and that project standards are met, and work is completed on time and under budget * Develop and maintain project schedule and daily costs to ensure work is completed on time and under budget * Provide technical support in construction planning, quality control, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, and constructability reviews to ensure successful job completion * Represent company during client and project management meetings to ensure effective communication * Develop and maintain all material and submittal logs * Review, analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues within project team * Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft people * Perform other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience * 7+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience * Proficiency with Blue Beam and OST preferred but not required * Proficiency with Heavy Job and HCSS preferred but not required * Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR in accordance with Company Vehicle Program * Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test * Ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat above 100 degrees, cold, and rain * MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL Fisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
