With more than 15 years of leadership experience in consumer marketing, Tim has a passion for creating uniquely engaging digital and real world brand experiences. Since joining Fitbit in June 2013 as the VP of Global Marketing, Tim is responsible for all marketing programs across the globe, including brand development, product marketing, Fitbit.com, communication design, PR, events, digital/performance-based marketing and social/engagement marketing. Most recently Tim was Vice President of Global Brand Development at Electronic Arts, where he led global brand development for all major titles, including Battlefield, FIFA, Madden and Need for Speed, among others. Prior to EA, he was the Vice President of Global Marketing at DivX, where he led the charge for a global rebranding effort, new HD software and Smart TV products rollout, achieving 250M software downloads for the company and a $323M acquisition by Sonic Solutions (since acquired by Rovi.) Previously, Tim led marketing efforts for the video game publisher, 2K Sports, raising its profile as a challenger brand to EA Sports, and was responsible for marketing the famed NFL 2K5 video game as well as increasing marketshare for the NBA 2K video game series from 10 to 100 percent in five years. Prior positions include director of marketing services at ATTIK, an advertising agency; and director of business development at Organic, an interactive agency. Tim attended the University of Michigan and lives in Mill Valley. He spends his ''play'' time surfing, playing ice hockey, fly fishing the Feather River, mountain biking Mt Tam and trail running the Dipsea.
