GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Fitness Coordinator and/or the Director of Community Life the incumbent is responsible for assisting with the fitness programs and supervised exercise sessions within the community.

QUALIFICATIONS
A degree in exercise physiology, kinesiology, or health promotion preferred. High school education with experience in geriatrics and fitness.

The Manufacturing Engineer supports the production and transition to production of lean and flexible CNC grinders for a wide range of shaft-type components as well as centerless grinding and disc grinding processes. Evaluate, plan, and execute manufacturing processes, procedures, and techniques. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and provide support in the transition of new products to production special projects or assignments in manufacturing.
JOB DUTIES:
Develop manufacturing process improvements to improve efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, customer's requirements, and equipment layout while leveraging our lessons learned to improve manufacturing productivity.
Employ lean techniques such as 5S, poke-yoke, VSM, Kaizen and others during the development of manufacturing processes and train production and technician staff responsible for operating/supporting the equipment as required.
Prepare production reports and capacity models by analyzing production and trends and Key Performance Indicators KPI's and metrics.
Performs statistical analysis of production data and provides assistance and/or recommendations to troubleshoot production test issues to resolve.
Resolve product manufacturing issues, identify, and evaluate changes to improve processes while maintaining high quality.
A sound understanding of failure modes [FMEA] is a key attribute in this role. Must have the ability to quickly understand, condense and organize the information necessary to make engineering decisions.
Establish applicable Bills of Materials, routings, and standard cost. Ensure that manufacturing documentation is complete and accurate in the company's configuration management system.
Support engineering with design for manufacturability assessments for the manufacturing transition efforts of new products. Interact with customers and suppliers in a technical support role.
Lead the development of tooling and fixtures required to manufacture our products.
Develop assembly process flow and manufacturing work instructions for new and existing products.
Develop/assist in material and production plans and schedules to ensure resources are available and materials are timed to meet manufacturing requirements.
Performs machine capability studies; programs and qualifies data collection systems to analyze data; works with sales and engineering on machine order requirements; interfaces with internal and external customers; may be required to work on different shifts when involved in machine qualifications.
Education and Experiences
BS in engineering discipline with more than three years manufacturing or equivalent experience.
Detailed knowledge of mechanical and electronic assembly manufacturing practices, bills of materials, drawings and assembly process workflow.
Demonstrated organization skills with attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills and able to quickly identify problems and solutions.
A self-starter, motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Strong work ethic, be goal oriented, and a team player with good interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize and finish tasks.
Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
Excellent computer skills are required: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, project scheduling software.
Knowledge of sourcing the proper materials, suppliers and components
Hands-on experience with equipment/process analysis
Engineering Design Change Process experience
Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives in design, fixtures, quality and manufacturing
Statistical data knowledge and expertise required to set-up the grinding machines to meet customer specifications and requirements
