We're hiring a King Air C90 Pilot to provide medical air transportation services to our customers. This pilot will be qualified to fly our King Air planes . Scheduled shifts run
2 weeks on/2 weeks
off
and service day or night trips. Safety is a key pillar of our services, therefore all of our pilots work on a quality, professional team that are committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.


RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Pilot will work with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities.
  • Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and company requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties.
  • Maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and record keeping for shifts, load manifests, etc.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with both air and ground dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
  • Provide shift change info to transitioning pilot and team, and follows protocols for recording company change board details.
  • Pilots are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing ground and air training.



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ATP Written Certificate
  • Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate
  • 2,500 total flight hours
  • 1,000 PIC hours
  • 500 multi-engine hours
  • 100 night hours
  • 75 instrument hours

Job Summary

Responsible to ensure aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy to transport medical crew and patient to receiving hospital within an assigned operational area. Responsible for compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), General Operations Manual guidelines (GOM), and thorough knowledge of Air Methods policies and procedures.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Operates Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
  • Completes pre-flight before every flight verifying the aircraft is in an airworthy condition by sign off of Daily Flight Log. Pilots will perform a complete walk around of the aircraft prior to entering the cockpit for flight and upon completion of each flight.
  • Final authority with regard to operations of aircraft and for the safety of passengers, cargo and equipment.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with all aircraft and medical systems of backup aircraft utilized at operational area and also ensures that the medical flight team is familiar and comfortable with the medical interior and systems.
  • Responsible for completion of required documentation.
  • Able to conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards.
  • Participates regularly in Air Methods meetings, activities, projects, committees and community outreach.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Regular scheduled attendance.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education & Experience

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two to five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Operation and Safety Requirements:

  • As a member of the Flight Crew, any person employed in this position shall maintain a weight not to exceed 250 pounds and shall be less than seventy (70) years old.

Skills

  • Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals and the public and strives to maintain a friendly and professional working environment
  • Pilots must have flown in category within the previous 24 months

Instrument Flight rules (IFR) Program:

  • 2500 total flight hours with a minimum of 2000 hours in category
  • 1000 hours PIC in category
  • 500 hours of cross country flight time
  • 100 hours of night flight time
  • 100 hours of flight in actual instrument conditions in category

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Instrument rating (for category and class of aircraft)(ATP rating in category meets this requirement)
  • Fixed wing multiengine rating is required for twin engine aircraft
  • Commercial single engine land is required for single engine aircraft
  • First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required.

Position Summary

  • King Air 90 and 200 series aircraft, some with advanced Avionics (G1000)
  • Aircraft initial and recurrent training at Flight Safety International
  • Conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times
  • Operates aircraft in safe and efficient manner with safety as a primary concern
  • Plans and completes flight assignments and obtains briefing information regarding purpose of the flight, weather, EagleMed operating procedures, and special instructions
  • Ensures the aircraft is pre-flighted, inspected, loaded, and equipped for the assigned flight
  • Is highly knowledgeable of and complies with all applicable FARs, EagleMed company manuals, and EagleMed policies
  • Maintains cleanliness of the aircraft
  • Accurately completes and submits all required paperwork
  • Maintains a schedule set by the EagleMed Chief Pilot at the designated base
  • Meetings, training, and check-flights outside of normal duty shift rotations are required
  • Performs other duties as requested by D.O./Chief Pilot


Minimum Qualifications

  • FAA Commercial Multi-Engine Land license, ATP preferred
  • ATP license required within 5 years of hire. Assistance in obtaining ATP may be provided if all other qualifications are met
  • FAA First or Second Class medical
  • 2000 hours Total Time
  • 1000 hours PIC
  • 500 hours Multi-Engine
