Location: Euclid - 22801 Employment Status: Hourly Full-Time Function: Maintenance Req ID: 27480 Purpose Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain power transmission, hydraulic, and pneumatic components on production equipment and systems. Job Duties and Responsibilities * Mechanically troubleshoot, repair and maintain all types of industrial machinery, equipment and systems. * Troubleshoot, inspect, adjust, and repair automated machines, process systems, and robotic systems to ensure they are working properly and safely. * Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance). * Plan and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment up time. * Perform bench work in repairing and maintaining production equipment and spare part assemblies. * Keep neat orderly records and order spare parts. May be required to train fellow tradesmen. * Must be able to rotate shifts and work weekends and holidays as required. * Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy. Basic Requirements * Associate degree in Mechanical Technology is preferred or equivalent job experience. Must pass the skilled trades assessment test for this position. * Must have some knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting including power transmission, fluid power, and pneumatics. * Ability to read, write, and understand written specifications, procedures and prints. Ability to design and execute from verbal instructions. * Must possess good organizational and communication skills. * Must possess good mechanical aptitude and have the ability to work on close tolerance equipment and/or parts. * Ability to use various measuring devices (torque wrench, micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators etc.) Must be able to use math to calculate dimensions and determine equipment setups. * Ability to fabricate, weld, or machine parts preferred. Ability to operate basic shop equipment (hoist, forklift, scissor lift, etc.) preferred. * Excellent attendance required. Safety and quality conscious. * Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis. * Must be able to work in confined areas, climb ladders, and work at heights of 28 feet. Must be able to wear a respirator. * Must be willing to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge of plant equipment and systems. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on production equipment in facility Troubleshoot and make repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production Build and repair mold screens Execute scheduled preventative maintenance repairs and other preventative maintenance work, replacing defective parts as needed Prepare and setup machinery for scheduled production runs EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Required: • 5+ years of related experience and/or training • Strong mechanical aptitude & attention to detail • Strong computer skills Ideal Candidate will possess: • Strong pneumatic component and maintenance experience • 2-5 years technical training (exposure to high-speed equipment and maintenance) • 3+ years of related experience in the paper or fiber/molded pulp manufacturing industry • Electrical skills; use of multi-meters, ability to check voltage, amp draws, etc. strongly preferred • Welding skills using Arc and wire feed welders a bonus The Company Offers: Competitive wage - depending upon specialized skillset & level of experience .
