How will your days be spent
* Responsible for leadership, management, and coordination of project team members and consultants from project inception through completion.
* Work with the Project Manager to lead and mentor team members and consultants while representing the firm to the client. Manage project consultant coordination and relationships.
* Ensure the client's vision, goals, and objectives are understood by all team members and consultants. Implement design requirements through documentation and construction, maintaining design intent and integration of specific pieces of the project.
* Gain increased responsibility for the technical planning and execution of project documents, including the quality, organization, and content. Assist project leadership with team debriefings and communicate lessons learned.
* Deliver design-sensitive projects on schedule and within budget while making authoritative decisions and recommendations of significant impact related to the project.
* May be responsible for participating in and leading client presentations. Participate in and conduct internal project team meetings and begin to lead technical and consultant meetings.
What you bring to this role
Experience:

• Assist in establishing required utility accounts including, but not the limited to, the following: electric, water and sewer, medical gas, and fuel.
• Prepare, distribute, and oversee PCRA, ICRA, and ILSM processes, when applicable.
• Effectively communicate to and work in close liaison with Real Estate, Facilities, IT and Key Clinical and Support Stakeholders.
• Maintain project reporting requirements including, but not the limited to, the following: weekly updates to project tracking logs and monthly dashboard reports for distribution to project stakeholders and leadership.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Client Infrastructure & VDI Design Architect is a senior technical architect responsible for the end-to-end design, standardization, and evolution of HSA Hospitals' endpoint, client computing, and virtual desktop platforms across acute care hospitals, imaging centers, and administrative environments.
This role serves as the architectural authority for physical endpoints, IGEL OS devices, VDI platforms, and cloud-based desktop services, ensuring solutions meet clinical workflow requirements, vendor constraints, security/compliance standards (HIPAA), and scalability needs across a rapidly growing multi-hospital organization.
The architect partners closely with Infrastructure, Security, Networking, Clinical Informatics, and Application teams to deliver a secure, resilient, and user-optimized client experience while enabling hospital acquisitions, system transitions, and modernization initiatives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the reference architecture for all client computing platforms across HSA Hospitals:
IGEL OS endpoints
Windows physical workstations (clinical, imaging, administrative)
Omnissa Horizon VDI
Define standardized endpoint and VDI design patterns aligned to clinical and non-clinical use cases:
Nursing & shared clinical workflows
Radiology, Cardiology, and Imaging workstations
Administrative and back-office users
Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with the hospital's goals.
Architect and govern HSA's three-path endpoint strategy, including:
IGEL secure browser and selective VDI access for clinical users
Hybrid AD-joined Windows workstations for vendor-restricted imaging platforms
Entra ID-joined, Intune-managed Windows devices for administrative staff
Design Autopilot-based provisioning, device lifecycle workflows, and domain transition strategies for newly acquired hospitals.
Standardize OS deployment, patching, configuration, and compliance using Microsoft Intune.

Horizon and Azure Virtual Desktop (where applicable)
Architect and optimize Omnissa Horizon environments supporting:

Job Summary
The Springboard Studio is a design-thinking platform and team within Mass General Brigham (MGB) that engages frontline providers, staff and patients to make healthcare more user-friendly, advancing systemwide strategic priorities and transformation. Using a process of applied creativity adapted to the time and task constrained healthcare environments found within MGB, Springboard serves as a systemwide design function that works towards implementable solutions that are at the intersection of desirability, feasibility, and viability. Springboard leverages the greatest resource within MGB, its human resources, to put patients at the center and improve the lives of providers. Solutions may be process-related care redesigns, hardware, software, or a combination thereof. The Springboard Studio works with entities internal to MGB as well as external companies, educational entities, and individuals to efficiently achieve its mission. Springboard is a continuous learning entity within MGB that adapts its methodologies and measures the impact of both its own processes and the resulting products.
Reporting to the Senior Consultant, the Program Manager collaboratively contributes to the operational management, design, execution and evaluation across Springboard Studio programs.
The Program Manager will work across the Springboard Studio team to support programs that help frontline providers, staff, and patients develop ideas to make healthcare more user friendly. This role is responsible for the organizational support and execution of programs across Springboard's portfolio, helping internal innovators-often with demanding schedules-advance their projects and product development. The Program Manager applies program management tools and ideally brings familiarity with human centered design and basic data management. They will collaborate with senior leadership to ensure Springboard delivers high quality support and client deliverables.
The Program Manager supports innovators and projects from diverse institutions, and departments across the Mass General Brigham health system and plays a key role in driving outcomes aligned with Springboard Studio's contribution to the MGB System Strategy.

What We're Looking For Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required in Engineering, Computer Science or similar field.
Experience: Minimum two years of experience in a technical product architecture role in software engineering, machine learning / AI engineering, data engineering, or similar, required.
4 year, required.
Experience in a lead and/or senior engineering role within a technology organization with a focus on leading software engineers to develop software products.
2 years, preferred.
Experience in a technical solution architecture role in software engineering, machine learning / AI engineering, data engineering, or similar.
Additional Skills (required): Extensive Technical Expertise.
Act as a technology consultant and partner, providing solution architecture designs across multiple technical domains and analyzing options in terms of technical feasibility, implementation effort, and performance targets.
Understand the tech industry landscape and be able to effectively evaluate vendor capabilities.
Proven experience architecting and delivering solutions across multiple technical domains, such as: APIs and Microservices (design, scalability, integration patterns) Systems Integration (third-party and internal services, event-driven architectures) AI/ML Engineering (model integration, data pipelines, MLOps) Data Engineering & Analytics (data modeling, pipelines, warehouses, real-time processing) Core Software Engineering (cloud-native applications, distributed systems, performance optimization) •Outcomes-oriented Thinking and Business Acumen.

What You'll Do:
Specifically, the Architect II will perform the following duties:
Perform simple and routine architectural-related tasks assigned at the direction of a supervisor using the standards set by the company, group, and/or client;
Write reports and specifications covering architectural matters;
Finish plans or approval of materials and construction;
Responsible for phases of individual revenue/producing projects;
Review completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations;
Perform assignments with minimal supervision;
Complete sections of permits; and
Complete field assignments, when appropriate.
What You Bring:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field. The successful candidate will also have two (2) years of experience as an architectural designer, which includes two (2) years of experience: preparing architectural construction documents and 3D renders; using Revit to prepare 3D models; and Enscape and CAD.
Salary Range:
$67,205 - $70,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
