He has a proven track record of transforming companies & enhancing shareholder value, culminating with IPOs & acquisitions. As CEO, he steered a successful turnaround of ECM Energy Services, a company focused in the U.S. shale play offering equipment rental & logistic services. This ultimately led to being on the door step of pricing an IPO, before the #2 largest player in the industry, Sunbelt Rentals acquired ECM’s equipment rental division in 2014 at a substantial premium. Previously, he invested in private equity owned RSC Equipment Rental & was SVP-General Counsel. He then brought RSC public (NYSE:RRR) in 2007 with a $458M IPO & ultimately helped to sell RSC in 2012 for over $4.2B to United Rentals, the #1 largest player in the industry. In addition to serving in a legal capacity, he had P&L responsibility over other functional areas, such as safety, environmental, risk, real estate/construction & HR. He also created and led the industry pioneering corporate social responsibility efforts. In addition, he speaks on various topics including: leadership, sustainability, ethics & driving results, such as delivering the midday address on Sustainability Leadership at the United Nations Global Compact at the U.S. Mission to the UN.
