Duties:
Assist with closing and reopening roadways, setting up and taking down cones and signage, flagging traffic, and cleaning the road for the rejuvenating application.
When needed, walk to each resident's home or business to pass out flyers informing them of pending roadwork.
Speak to residents, city officials, and business owners to answer questions.
Load the dump truck using a front loader.
Drive the dump truck to the job site.
Operate the dump truck to spread a sand mixture on treated roadways.
Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of equipment.
Keep issued work truck clean and performing.
Troubleshoot issues, conduct routine maintenance, fill out maintenance logs, and perform daily inspections.
Report any safety hazards and unsafe conditions, as well as any DOT violations (including but not limited to HOS).
Follow all DOT rules and regulations
Record all drive time and keep accurate records of expenses
Learn how to operate, maintain, and drive a distributor truck and sweeper truck for cross-training purposes
Responsible for communication with home office, team, and supervisors via email and text

Requirements:
Minimum age of 21
Valid CDL Class A or B with a current medical card
Passing grade on the Flagger Course
Knowledge of DOT laws and regulations
Clean driving record
Not prohibited in the FMCSA Clearinghouse
Must pass a background, MVR check and drug screen
Must be able to travel out of town for up to 3 weeks at a time
Comfortable working in traffic zones, controlling the flow of traffic

The Heavy Duty Driver will be driving a Heavy-Duty Rotator, Rollback, and recovery vehicle with a GVWR rating of more than 26,000 lbs. and must possess a valid CDL driver's license relative to the vehicle being operated and towed combination. Essential Duties
Transport goods and materials to and from designated locations.
Working with the Dispatch team on customer calls.
Operate heavy duty vehicles such as trucks, trailers, and buses.
Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including checking oil, water, and tire pressure.
Ensure cargo is properly secured and loaded.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members.
Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation.

Qualifications, Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED (preferred).
Relevant trade school - Towing, recovery or transport accreditation.
