Since we often work mill shutdowns and provide incident response, this position may require working various shifts, weekends, and overtime with some holiday and on-call work and may require long hours and travel at times. Travel expenses, such as hotel and a daily per-diem, are employer-paid.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to the following:
Uphold and follow all company, state and federal safety rules and protocols and customer specific guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). PPE may include but is not limited to disposable or reusable coveralls, raingear, gloves, hardhats, safety glasses or goggles, chemical-resistant clothing, face shields, hearing protection, and respirators (half and full-face).
Mobilize equipment to destination and utilize the proper equipment for safe project completion.
Perform required trip inspections on vehicles daily. Maintain equipment for safe operation and clean condition; perform decon and fueling when project is complete.
Perform safe equipment checks, preventative maintenance, and trouble-shoot and assist with repair when requested.
Complete detailed reports, manifests, work orders and time sheets legibly and accurately and submit each daily in a timely manner.
Maintain e-logs according to state and federal regulations.
Complete daily time sheets and job cards legibly, accurately, and timely with documentation of hours worked, job coding, equipment used, and meal and rest periods, etc.
Completes all training and certifications as assigned and maintain current certifications as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with one to three years related driving experience as a CDL driver; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. - we use E-Verify to validate authorization.
Must pass pre-employment, random, and regular updates for DOT and non-DOT physical/drug tests and background checks. Must participate in JEI's DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol program, to include random testing.
Must have and maintain excellent driving/safety record and be insurable with our commercial vehicle insurance plan. A current driving abstract and proof of all certifications and licenses is required. We pull MVR report for last 5 years and check Clearinghouse record.
Valid Class A CDL (preferred) or Class B CDL (will be considered).
Work at a variety of customer sites and be available to work overtime.
Ability and willingness to work varied hours, including but not limited to evenings and weekends, on-call rotations, and some holidays and out of town travel.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Previous experience operating a forklift preferred but not required.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or railroad setting preferred but not required.
Must demonstrate the ability to perform duties in a safe and effective manner and pass a drive test.
Must be able to work indoors as well as outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights as jobs require
Must be able to follow directions and procedures for each job, vehicle, and piece of equipment.

What you will do
