What you will be doing
* Uses Adobe Creative Suite and other platforms to conceive, design, layout, and coordinate editorial illustrations and creative artwork in accordance with Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements and Flatiron's branding guidelines.
* Works with pursuit team personnel, proposal teams, and other internal clients to conceptualize what they are trying to convey and the best way to visually communicate that information.
* Collaborates with internal and external partners to develop and execute innovative graphic concepts for proposals and presentations.
* Develops and streamlines theme concepts and creative design, including team logos, proposal templates, and packaging. Identifies areas in proposals that warrant compelling graphics in lieu of narratives.
* Participates in kickoff and document review meetings, incorporating feedback from document reviews with the guidance of subject matter experts (SMEs) and proposal managers. Supports multiple proposals in a time-sensitive, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high levels of customer service and quality.
* Supports proposals during production, including the assembly of proposal materials, final checks, and packaging. Shares ideas with the internal team on best practices around visual designs, usability, and supporting technologies.
* Develops master proposal templates for the internal team and maintains a library of proposal graphics and elements.
* Coordinates and assists in the development of marketing materials such as brochures and capabilities briefing material.
What we are looking for
* Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preffered.
* 3+ years related graphic design experience, preferably for a large-scale construction, engineering, or design firm.
* Knowledgeable about the proposal process and hands on experience in the development of company templates and frameworks as well as proposal content and graphics concepts.
* Extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat DC, as well as Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint, and other graphics and desktop publishing software.

Coordination with all jurisdictional permitting, inspection entities, and third-party testing agencies.
Ensure projects start-up effectively. Attend kick-off meetings with the project team.
Provide management of the closeout process. Attend closeout meetings and ensure tasks are assigned and completed in a timely manner.
Assist the Warranty Manager to ensure callbacks are completed effectively and timely. Apply lessons learned from the warranty callbacks to prevent similar issues in the future.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications:
10-15+ years of experience as a seasoned construction professional with a General Contractor.
Successful leadership and completion of large-scale multifamily projects over $80 million.
Proven leadership, coaching, and mentoring experience.
Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with broad-based individuals, from craft to higher-level project ownership.
Ability to create and manage a team environment and foster accountability among team members.
Ability to report project health analytics to leadership on a monthly basis.

About the role:
The Preconstruction Manager 1 is responsible for leading the preconstruction/estimating process for each assigned project.
Essential Functions:

Requirements
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years related experience in the construction industry.

Experience with variety of building construction types and market segments desired.
Prior experience as primary preconstruction lead on projects with minimal supervision.
Prior project management and/or supervision experience specifically around procurement, buyout, and scheduling.
Proficiency with Sage Timberline Estimating, ConstructConnect, BuildingConnected, Bluebeam, and MS suite.
Prior experience with project information management software. CMiC, Procore, Autodesk, and ASTA scheduling experience a plus.
Candidates must have acceptable Motor Vehicle record and be able to pass a background check per company policy.
Current driver's license which has valid for the past 12 consecutive months.

* Maintains the current version of RFP documents and ensures all supporting team members have access. Notifies the proposal team when important project information becomes available.
* Leads the final publishing of the proposal and delivery to the Owner, as required. Updates proposal templates and project sheets and ensures all relevant information is stored in the database and searchable for future project pursuits.
* Completes forms for Company and District award submittals, as needed.
What we are looking for
* Bachelor's Degree in English, Marketing, Communications or a related field required.
* 6+ years' project pursuit experience in construction or engineering industry required and a minimum 3+ years' experience as proposal coordinator highly regarded.
* Coaches, guides and mentors staff and direct reports in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Develop proposal schedule and assign deliverables to proposal team and a proven ability to take on a larger bid proposal or multiple proposals at one time.
* Travel for pursuit meetings and Company proposal support.
* Proven ability to write and edit project summaries, resumes of project personnel, and other supporting information.
* Strong communication, attention to detail, organizational, time management and task prioritization skills required to ensure timely submittal of project bids.
* Knowledge or skill in graphic design highly regarded. Advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional, Photoshop and InDesign; Deltek Vision preferred.
* Maintains registration in relevant organizations / associations (for example, Road Builders Association).

What you will be doing
* Meets daily with project crews to review production schedule and confirm all materials, equipment and resources are readily available for production to continue on schedule and within budget.
* Collects, coordinates and analyzes shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data through the duration of the project to ensure quality and compliance.
* Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling. Identifying risk elements of production, materials, equipment or processes that could negatively impact the budget or schedule.
* Evaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections to accurately track project performance. Documents daily activities in Company approved methods and technologies.
* Remits accurate project quantity input and controls using assigned project cost coding to ensure project financials are accurately reported. Manages cost coding with Company finance and accounting teams regarding employee time, materials, equipment and subcontractor needs.
* Reviews and approves daily timecards for all Company construction crews. Works with Office Manager, payroll and job construction supervisors to resolve timecard inquiries, as needed.
* Reviews project specifications for quality assurance at the beginning of work, during the project work and after work completes. Initiates and manages appropriate certificates, inspections and other documentation regarding construction production on the project site.
* Works with construction crews and engineering leaders to plan field layout on the project site, ensuring appropriate utility and commercial lines are marked before production begins. Initiates and manages any permits needed before work can begin.
* Assists the development of design drawings and provides technical input, as needed.
* Coordinates subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as needed.
What we are looking for
* Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
* 1+ year experience preferred.
* Construction engineering experience or knowledge required.
* Beginner knowledge of construction equipment & techniques, drawing & specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to the project.
* Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.
