Usually, fleet mechanics don't need a college education. The most common degree for fleet mechanics is associate degree with 35% graduates, with only 34% fleet mechanic graduates earning high school diploma. Fleet mechanics who decided to graduate from college often finish University of Northwestern Ohio or Washington College. Some good skills to have in this position include cdl, dot and diagnosis.
