POSITION DESCRIPTION DETAILS In this role, the Fleet Mechanic will be performing preventative maintenance and repairs on company fleet of trucks and vehicles. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Determines vehicle or equipment condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests. Performs preventive maintenance schedules, required inspections and winterization procedures. Responds to vehicle repair needs, in the field, as required by conducting and / or coordinating repair activities. Maintains vehicle records by documenting all services and repairs and filing them on site. Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements. Updates and improves technical knowledge and ability by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical and regulatory publications. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE 2-3 years of experience in vehicle and /or equipment maintenance and repair. Technical/vocational school degree preferred. Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
