We're looking for detail-oriented and politically engaged Media Assistants to support our paid media team in tracking and managing advertising efforts for key political campaigns. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about politics-especially the upcoming 2026 elections-and enjoys working with data and paid media logistics.
**You are** ...A proactive and organized individual who can:
+ Stay up to date on news and developments related to assigned political races, with a strong interest in the 2026 election cycle.
+ Track and manage political advertising expenditures ($$) by both allies and opponents including linear television, cable, radio, streaming and audience addressable.
+ Compile and deliver daily reports on advertising directly to campaign teams.
+ Collect, organize, and maintain television, radio, and digital rate cards; update rates within our media buying software (Strata).
+ Coordinate the trafficking and delivery of advertisements to media vendors.
+ Monitor and analyze advertising content, including messaging themes (e.g., economy, environment, abortion) and tone (positive/negative).
+ Assist in processing and coordinating payments to media vendors.
+ Takes initiative to learn about internal AI tools (Copilot, Omni AI) and utilize them for daily tasks.

The Role
The Post Graduate Program is a full-time, individualized program that lasts four to six months, allowing knowledge from school and prior internships to expand and translate into the workforce. This is a temporary role, with the opportunity to be offered a permanent position on the team at the end of the program.
The PR Post Graduate supports the administrative duties of the Publicity Assistant, teams, clients, and accounts. A PR Post Graduate is exposed to all facets of the agency from the administrative level and assists in monitoring, updating, researching, and reporting on client services, teams, and tasks. This position requires reliability and a passion for devouring every publication as a resource in the hospitality/travel PR industry.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our New York office location, with a target start date in January 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with reporting & gathering information to develop efficient round-up pitches
Create & write press materials: fact sheets, media lists, press releases, newsletters, bios/backgrounders
Clip, draft placement spotlights, pitches, and press releases for clients
Hone writing skills, blurb writing, and elevate press releases
Monitor and update all administrative tasks & duties/platforms
Assist in brainstorming & planning sessions/story angles & partnerships
Assist with data input for weekly reporting/client updates
Navigate Muck Rack, updating quality media lists
Research publications, editorial calendars & maintain targeted media lists
Assist with drafting of weekly updates, working with Publicity Assistant
Responsible for media tracking & client reporting (media clips, placement spotlights, digital alerts & calculating PR values)
Establish & maintain effective, respectful & professional relationships with employees and clients
Ability to perform other tasks or projects assigned by account leads or executive members
Assist in research on upcoming trends, articles & social media relating to the PR industry & clients specific to travel, luxury hospitality & culinary
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or comparable experience in publicrelations, communication, journalism, marketing, and/or business
Prior PR internship experience required (agency internship experience strongly preferred)
Previous experience with traditional PR platforms is preferred (Muck Rack, Meltwater, Cision, HAROs, etc.)
Proven ability to prioritize and multitask multiple projects while maintaining close attention to detail
Foundational knowledge of media relations, news cycles, and Influencer engagement
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including AP writing style

Responsibilities

Qualifications
Candidates must be a college junior, senior or a recent college graduate and hard working with at least a 3.0 GPA. The candidates must also display an eagerness to expand their skills in social-focused communications, marketing, advertising, and project management and be available to work full time Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. ET.
The ideal candidate for this position must be social media savvy, comfortable manipulating and interpreting data, has experience pivoting between multiple projects, able to navigate data analytics and is highly detail oriented. Specifically, the candidate should also have some experience in the following areas:
* Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.).
