Reporting to the Director, Field Applications the Field Service Engineer (Ohio area Remote). is responsible for providing service and support at customer sites located throughout their assigned territory.
What a typical day looks like:
Provide installation supervision, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and repair work for low voltage distribution gear, transformers, and related power distribution equipment in a professional way.
Prepares technical reports/test sheets, monitoring of spare parts, tools/equipment, consumables, etc.
Maintain and follow safety regulations for the company and the specific sites where working.
Attend all appropriate site meetings.
Interfaces with Project Management and Site personnel.
Provide excellent customer service to clients, listening to and addressing their needs and/or escalating their needs through our organization for resolution.
Communicate on a regular basis with Project Managers receiving and relaying information.
Proactively works to eliminate waste and adds value to all processes.
Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and perform work practices that are safe.
Adhere to company policies and rules.
Additional duties as required.
The experience we're looking to add to our team,
Education to the Associates level in electrical power distribution or related field and/or 5+ years of similar work experience in a related field. Military experience is preferred. Data Center or equivalent mission critical system experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience working with electrical power distribution systems, power monitoring systems, AC/DC electrical power, and the use of communication protocols. Three to five years' experience in the design of low voltage switchgear assemblies/systems and/or power distribution equipment is preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of UL Standards, such as UL67 Panelboards, UL1008 Transfer Switch
Equipment, UL10008S Static Transfer Switches, UL60950 Information Technology Equipment, UL 891
Switchboards, UL 1558 Metal‐Enclosed Low‐Voltage Power Circuit Breaker Switchgear as applicable, as well as other pertinent standards.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
Ability to use test equipment, to include multimeters, current meters, and related devices.

Job Responsibilities
Assist in installation, set up, and maintenance of equipment
Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings
Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks
Maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of equipment and work areas by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations
Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Strong mechanical aptitude
At least one year of industrial maintenance experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections on ready mix plants and plant equipment including but not limited to, mixers conveyors and batching equipment
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic issues to ensure optimal plant operations
* Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment failures and downtime
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including repairs made and parts used
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities
* Collaborate with Maintenance Manager, Plant Manager, Operations Manager and other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks
* Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment as necessary
* Identify hazards and maintain clean and organized working areas
Qualifications:
* 3 years of experience in plant maintenance, preferably in the concrete or construction industry
* Strong mechanical, electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
* Knowledge of ready mix plant operations and equipment
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently with minimum oversight and ability to work as a team
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work in various weather conditions
* Valid driver's license
* Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings and weekends as needed
* Fundamental knowledge of welding is a plus
Physical Requirements:
* Must wear all appropriate PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, masks, seat belt and steel toe boots) when performing safety sensitive duties or in certain areas of plant. If work requires driving in company vehicle or personal vehicle, seat belt must be worn while vehicle is in motion
* Requires working in extreme weather; temperatures sometimes above 90 degrees, sometimes cold, wet or damp conditions
* Requires walking on terrain that may be uneven, muddy and slippery
* Exposure to sounds and noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable
* Exposure to diesel exhaust, dust, and water mist or vapor.
* Variable lighting conditions, dependent upon available natural light
* Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing 30 - 50 pounds
* Walk, stand, climb stairs and ladders, crouch/squat
* Must be able to read and understand equipment installation instructions, technical specifications and or architectural drawings and be able to follow steps to properly and safely install carious types of equipment used in the production of ready mix concrete. This includes but is not limited to air compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic pistons, valves, and gates, conveyors, radial stacker conveyors, screw conveyors, weigh batchers and scales, various motors, drives, gears and pulleys, breakers and switchgears, miscellaneous steel components
* Must be able to use reason and understanding to troubleshoot and repair issues with plant equipment in a manner that will safely resolve issues

Job Details:
The successful Service Technician will operate in a wide variety of environments troubleshooting, making repairs, and performing both small and large telecom installations. Our primary customer base consists of Manufacturing, Light Industrial, Commercial and Property Management. You will be expected to be highly knowledgeable of your trade, provide excellent customer service, be self-motivated, quality focused, and to operate safely and efficiently in the field with a minimum of immediate supervision.

Role Overview
As a Utility Technology Specialist, you will process and manage 811 utility locate tickets, ensuring adherence to state regulations while keeping field teams informed. Your responsibilities also include conducting drone and camera line inspections to assess existing underground utility infrastructure systems on our projects. This role is crucial for maintaining asset integrity and operational efficiency within the work we perform as an underground Utility Contractor.
811 Locate Processing
* Review and Process Requests: Meticulously handle 811 locate requests and coordinate with field crews and utility companies to prioritize and fulfill these requests.
* Record Management: Maintain precise records of tickets and responses, ensuring compliance with state and company standards.
* Communication: Engage effectively with customers, contractors, and internal teams to address any discrepancies or conflicts.
* Deadline Monitoring: Vigilantly track ticket deadlines, escalating urgent issues as necessary.
* Collaboration: Coordinate with project teams to collect detailed and accurate struck lines reporting.
* Accountability: Responsible for collecting all necessary information from the field and compiling final reports to be submitted to the Business Unit Leader.
Incident Reporting
* Tracking and Logging: Stay updated on incidents and ensure they are accurately logged.
* Report Management: Oversee detailed incident reporting, including coherent explanations, supporting drawings or photos, and timely completion within one week.
* Communication: Deliver final reports to Business Unit Leadership and Project Teams.
* Collaboration: Coordinate with project teams to collect detailed and accurate incident reporting.
* Accountability: Responsible for collecting all necessary information from the field and compiling final reports to be submitted to the Business Unit Leader and our Safety Department.
Field Technology
* Drone Operations: Execute safe drone flight missions for inspections, complying with FAA regulations and safety standards.
* Utilize line inspection cameras to document existing conditions within underground infrastructure.
* Data Collection and Analysis: Capture and analyze high-resolution images to document in the field the location or condition of all existing utilities for project record.
* Inspection Reporting: Document findings and generate comprehensive visual reports for project teams, owners, and engineers.
* Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance checks and troubleshoot equipment issues.
* Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all aviation regulations and safety standards.
* Collaboration: Work closely with project management and leadership to optimize drone and line inspection data utilization.
Skills, Experience, Qualifications
* Education: Associate's degree or 2-years of equivalent experience.
* Industry Experience: Background in construction, utilities, or related fields is advantageous.
* 811 Processes Familiarity: Knowledge of utility locating practices.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and strong computer skills.
* Drone Certification: FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or equivalent in other regions (or ability to acquire certifications within 3 months of employment)
* Drone Expertise: Drone flight experience, especially in utility, energy, or construction industries is advantageous. Desire and ability to learn is necessary.
* Imaging Technologies: Understanding of aerial imaging technologies and data processing software.
