Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a full-time SMT TestEngineer - 1st Shift located in Coopersville, MI.
Reporting to the Automation Manager the SMT TestEngineer - 1st Shift, will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of test for PCBA, Systems, Software, and/or Equipment. Will be focused on back end and testing of the existing manufacturing line.
What a typical day looks like:
* Responsible for implementing solutions on critical items to propose to the customers and to keep in good health the failure inventories of the Repair, RMA and Manufacturing process.
* Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
* Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering.
* Perform PCBA and System level fault isolation/failure analysis down to component level.
* Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems.
* Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques.
* Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
* Create and maintain process documentation.
* Actively search for new technologies or procedures in the test sector.
* Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations
The experience we're looking to add to our team,
* Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronic engineering (ideal/optional) - or - equivalent work experience (see below).
* 2+ years of industry work experience in SMT testengineering from electronic device manufacturing company/industry or related.
* Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Experienced in PCBA and System level testing, debug, verification, and failure analysis down to component level. most important
* Statistical Analysis capability that ability to perform data analysis and present to customer and/or management.
* Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills.

Job Summary
The Rotordynamics Development TestEngineer position is a challenging assignment for candidates who aspire to work both in Rotordynamics and Development Testing. This role is part of a team which supports a broad range of activities and high-profile development initiatives within Solar. The successful candidate will provide support in Rotordynamics topics related to design and operation of centrifugal gas compressors, lead development testing of gas compressors and provide support to test facilities, including data acquisition systems and instrumentation. What you will do:
Designing, planning and leading complex compressor development tests, managing resources and writing detailed test agendas and reports.
Interacting closely with project management, gas compressor engineering groups and test facilities to come up with detailed test plans.
Updating Rotordynamic and test documentation, creating standard work
Field support when needed, including traveling to site for data gathering
Test facility support, setup of data acquisition systems and instrumentation and assisting with test cell troubleshooting.

About the role
Flex is looking for a Software Engineer I to join our Risk Engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of services and APIs that support Flex's risk decisioning, fraud prevention, and credit access systems.
You'll work closely with experienced engineers and technical leaders to deliver reliable, scalable features across both backend services and user-facing applications. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working across the stack, are eager to learn, and want to see their work directly impact product safety and customer access.
What you'll do
Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Java (Spring Boot) that support real-time risk decisioning and fraud prevention.
Develop user-facing features using TypeScript with React and/or React Native for risk-related flows across web and mobile.
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to deliver end-to-end features from requirements to production.
Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, participating in code reviews and learning best practices.
Help monitor, debug, and support production systems, gaining experience with distributed systems and operational excellence.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Strong foundational knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming principles.
Experience with React or React Native, and proficiency in TypeScript.
Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and basic system design concepts.
Familiarity with REST APIs and service-oriented architectures.
Experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries.
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and ask questions.
Curiosity about how systems work and a desire to learn continuously.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to risk engineering, fraud detection, or decision platforms (through coursework, internships, or prior roles).
Experience building high-quality mobile and web UIs to product and design specifications.
Experience with the React Native and React ecosystems, including Hooks, Components, Context, and Redux.
Experience with Spring Boot or backend service development.
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Exposure to observability and monitoring tools such as DataDog.
Experience or coursework involving data platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts (e.g., CDK, Terraform).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The salary compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
For working locations in NY/NJ/CA, the base salary pay range will be $139,000-$153,000
For all other states, the base salary pay range will be $125,000-$138,000
