Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a full-time SMT Test Engineer - 1st Shift located in Coopersville, MI. Reporting to the Automation Manager the SMT Test Engineer - 1st Shift, will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of test for PCBA, Systems, Software, and/or Equipment. Will be focused on back end and testing of the existing manufacturing line. What a typical day looks like: * Responsible for implementing solutions on critical items to propose to the customers and to keep in good health the failure inventories of the Repair, RMA and Manufacturing process. * Interfaces and confers with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues. * Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering. * Perform PCBA and System level fault isolation/failure analysis down to component level. * Uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems. * Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques. * Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements. * Create and maintain process documentation. * Actively search for new technologies or procedures in the test sector. * Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations The experience we're looking to add to our team, * Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronic engineering (ideal/optional) - or - equivalent work experience (see below). * 2+ years of industry work experience in SMT test engineering from electronic device manufacturing company/industry or related. * Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. * Experienced in PCBA and System level testing, debug, verification, and failure analysis down to component level. most important * Statistical Analysis capability that ability to perform data analysis and present to customer and/or management. * Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills.
