Perform all the tasks required to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, adjust, replace and install plant mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other components for equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and program malfunctions in automated systems, automated machinery and stamping presses
Modify existing production work cells to improve quality, productivity and ergonomics
Perform preventative maintenance
Install new machinery as required
Ensure equipment maintenance log is completed
Operate an overhead crane and lift truck and maintenance a license to do so
Qualifications
Prefer 3 years+ of industrial manufacturing experience
Prefer journeyman card
Able to troubleshoot PLC programs
Able to set and verify parameters for resistance, MIG and TIG welders
Able to program and trouble shoot robots (FANUC, ABB, Nachi, Motoman)

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Level Degree Area of Study: Engineering, Technical Engineering Degree or similar.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge
2-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Industrial Maintenance experience.
3-5 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry preferred.

Perform electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic modifications on tools when required.

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Sterling Heights. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities in a timely and efficient manner. Duties may include plumbing, electrical work, HVAC maintenance, carpentry, and other tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC systems
Assist with building renovations and construction projects
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and building maintenance
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Basic Cleaning, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC, and troubleshooting mechanical issues throughout the facility.
* Gain familiarity with Facilities Maintenance concepts, practices and methodologies.
* Performs minor repairs on equipment and facilities and grounds.
* Basic maintenance duties including furniture moves, basic electrical and plumbing projects, painting, light construction and cleanup, assist with set up for events, and lot repair (asphalt patching, sign repair) and light janitorial work.
* Repair or replacement of doors and locks.
* Respond to customer requests for building and/or equipment issues.
* Routinely inspect facilities and ground for hazards and identifies needed improvements.
* Resolves issues where possible and escalates new or complex issues to higher level.
* Documenting actions and daily work assignments.
* Complies with the company's Facilities Maintenance standards and policies.
* Assists with projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum
* High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
* OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline.
* OR 5 years' experience in a related field
* Skill and knowledge to perform light electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC repairs required.
* Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
* Good communication and organizational skills required.
* Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
* Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
* Medium strength. Ability to lift 1-50 pounds.
* Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Preferred
* Custodial duties experience
