FMI specializes in product design, engineering, development and manufacturing of tubular fabrication, welded tubular assemblies and fabricated exhaust manifolds.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Design, build, and modify custom tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other tooling for precision parts.
Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine tool and die fabrication requirements.
Operate and maintain a variety of conventional and CNC machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other general shop equipment.
Use design software to design, build and modification activities.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues with existing tools and dies to minimize downtime and maintain production quality.
Perform precision measurements and inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to ensure parts meet strict tolerances.
Perform routine maintenance and preventative care on tooling to ensure longevity and consistent maintenance.
Collaborate with Engineers, Machinists, and other team members on new tooling development and process improvements.
Participate in tooling design reviews.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with company policies.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of proven Tool and Die experience in small to large automotive supplier field required.
High School Diploma or GED and completion of a formal apprenticeship, vocational program, or a strong equivalent in a related field required.
Proficiency in reading technical blueprints and detailed schematics.
Ability to effectively use KeyCreator, SolidWorks, and Mastercam design software.
Expertise in operating and setting up various machine tools, including manual and CNC equipment.
Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools and techniques
High level of analytical and/or problem-solving skills, well organized and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management skills to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment.
HAAS mill and Lathe programming preferred.
General knowledge of tube forming operations including: Bending, trimming, end forming, welding, and leak testing preferred.

Job Description
* Leads the Quality Assurance function and provides guidance to Quality Assurance personnel.
* Ensures full representation of quality requirements and policy in daily plant operational decisions and activities.
* Directs and monitors the Quality Assurance Program, from incoming materials through finished goods inventory including adjustments. This includes ownership of many plant SOPs and work instructions.

* Maintains product and process measurements to provide the necessary information to manufacturing process control according to control plan requirements, quality standards, product or process specification, documentation via quality instructions, training, evaluation, etc.
* Utilizes the Quality Assurance work force, facilities, and equipment to meet organization's goals and objectives.
* Promotes continuous improvement throughout the organization.
* Ensures that the following items are being addressed regularly within the organization: layered audit compliance, open problem action assignments (internal audit NC, external audit NC, layered audit NC, customer rejection, internal problem report, etc.), weekly scrap report, weekly sorting fallout and parts review, cost of poor-quality data, SPC compliance, and record of inspection status.
* Manages the plant gauge and layout system to ensure an effective MSA system.

* Help set up, configure, and support enterprise networking gear-switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi…the fun stuff.
* Troubleshoot network and wireless issues with guidance from senior engineers.

* Update documentation, diagrams, and how-to guides so the team stays organized.

* Test, validate, and benchmark network performance.
* Work with other IT teams on projects that impact the whole organization.

Required Skills and Education
* Currently enrolled fulltime in a degree program related to IT, Networking, Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
* Graduation date of December 2026 or later.
* Minimum 3.0 GPA
* Available to work 25 hours per week year-round.
* Basic understanding of networking (IP addressing, VLANs, routing, switching, etc.).
* Curious, detail-oriented, and not afraid to dig into a problem.
* Solid communication skills-you can explain what you're doing and why.
* Comfortable working both independently and with a team.

Summary
Looking for a CNC Machinist and programmer with at least five years of experience in CNC machining and programming.
Job Description
* Independently program, setup, and operate a cell consisting of 2-3 CNC Machines
* Read and interpret Engineering Drawings/Blueprints
* Process from start to finish goods. Includes selection of tooling required, order of operations required, etc
* Perform a 1st piece inspection in the QC Lab of all new setups
* Make necessary adjustments to programs and offsets
* Perform spot checks before removing work pieces
* Follow predetermined workflow and move workpieces to the appropriate following operation
* Occasionally troubleshoot cutting tool failures, and run cutting tool trials
* Effectively communicate any issues or concerns to management
* Work safely and efficiently to produce quality parts in a timely manner
Required Skills and Education
* High School Diploma / GED
* 5 years documented experience in CNC Machining
* Proficient with CNC setup, and operation.
* Proficient with Conversation CNC Programming (lathe focused - Mazatrol/IGF) and/or MasterCAM (milling focused)
* Experience with Blueprints and GD&T
* Experience with tolerances = +/- .001"
* Experience with Wire EDM, Integrex, Manual Lathes, Surface Grinders, a bonus
