We are looking for positive, self-motivated, highly skilled automotive diagnostic specialists to join our growing team in servicing the automobile collision industry. This is an hourly (NOT flat rate) position. The technician will remotely perform both pre-scans and post repair diagnostic scans (completion scans) to assist in the proper repair, reconfiguration-calibration of the vehicle being repaired in our client's collision repair facility. The technician will perform functions while connected remotely to our scan tool that is connected directly to the vehicle at the collision repair facility. These functions include code/data reading, programming, bi-directional testing, component re-learns, configurations, coding, calibrations, code clearing and diagnostic assistance. We ensure the vehicle's ADAS systems are returned to an "As designed by the manufacturer" condition. EXPERIENCE • 5 or more years performing hands on automotive repairs • 2 or more of these years as a diagnostic master/lead technician • 1 year of experience dealing directly with customers • Current or previous ASE or OEM certifications (Not required but nice to have) SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE • Working knowledge in the use and maintenance of advanced and OE level diagnostic scan tools • Ability to read, interpret and document automotive diagnostic scan tool data • Ability to read and understand various automotive electrical/electronic schematics • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Explorer, Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook etc.) **required to perform this position** • Ability to explain and communicate/advise findings to other technicians or to non-technical clients Technicians will need their own Windows based computer with Windows 10 or later. The Flight Communications Specialist is the primary point of contact for all crew members. As the primary contact, the Flight Communications Specialist is responsible for relaying all pertinent information to the proper departments as well as advising crew members of any changes to the flight schedule. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide timely resolution to crew member phone calls and emails. Brief crew members on outstanding assignments as required. Monitor overnight weather where Flexjet aircraft remain overnight and ensure proper services are arranged. Monitor Flexjet trips and FBO hours of operation to ensure necessary services are available. Review post flight information for accuracy. Work closely with all departments in the operation to facilitate Company mission and assist crew members on rotation. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school; 1-3 years of related experience preferably in an aviation/logistics environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of FARs regarding Part 91, 121, or 135 airline operations is preferred. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the aptitude to learn customized company software programs. REQUIRED SKILLS Candidate should work well in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business. Must be detail oriented and able to work productively, independently, or within a team. Excellent oral/written communication and problem resolution skills are required. The Flight Follower will maintain operational control of the flights and communicate any customer needs with flight crews, maintenance, and other required personnel. Essential Job Responsibilities: Create and manage trips and logs within the trip building system during shift; communicate turn-over information at end of shift. Maintain “Operational Control” protocols and standards as regulated by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. Ensure flights are operated as required under CFR's and operating manuals. Assess crew legality status with regards to flight time and duty limitations. Report mechanical delays or conditions of flight to appropriate personnel. Obtain international over fly and landing permits as well as completing all TSA and Customs requirements such as: Customs notification, Gen Dec, e-APIS, and/or CANPASS. Receive and maintain accurate accounting of all hazmat shipped to be immediately accessible to the FAA or other authorities as required. Maintain and send fuel, tripsheets and other documents to Accounting Department as required. Communicate with pilots and other required personnel with regard to upcoming schedules and/or changes.
