Purpose of Position
The Specialist SoftwareEngineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and identifying improvements by planning, implementing, and monitoring software framework solutions using specialized platform knowledge/experience
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Identify and develop product specification, system design, development, and system integration for new and existing software applications using specific platform knowledge (i.e., SAP, ABAP, CAD, API, Syteline ERP, etc.)
* Assist senior engineers in the design of new software product concepts and development; create and test product prototypes
* Integrate ServiceNow with applications such as Delinea, SailPoint, and other security or enterprise application
* Conduct new technology research and concept specifications to influence the design of individual software components
* Collaborate with cross-functional areas on products and programs that will contribute to FSI's strategic direction, development, and future growth
* Monitor, configure, and improve integration with COTS platforms
* Consult with users on problem determination and provide root cause analysis in a timely manner
* Provide 24x7 on-call support, after-hours, and weekend work as needed
* Accountable and responsible for the accuracy and completeness of assigned work and results
Minimum Education
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience
Minimum Experience
* 3+ years of experience in a software development role

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Strong experience and knowledge of object-oriented programming
* Solid understanding of Web Development: HTML5 and Angular JS or similar JavaScript libraries
* Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Web Services, etc.)
* Experience in API integration and troubleshoot API issues.
* Experience with ServiceNow application development including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, CMDB, Discovery, Asset and Service Request Fulfillment
* Experience creating assets (CI), managing assets, with MID Servers, SAMP, discovery troubleshooting, and scripting
* Experience creating robust reporting using performance analytics
* Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex software application related problems.
