Responsibilities
Maintain employee relations and answer employee questions regarding company policies and benefits.
Maintain the employee database and employment files.
Respond to employment verification requests.
Orient new hires on company policies, safety rules, job description, expectations, and employee benefits program.
Conduct orientation training, onboarding paperwork completion, and drug screening for newly hired employees.
Communicate and coordinate with hiring managers to determine hiring needs and schedule candidate interviews.
Create recruitment advertising content for online job boards and social media sites.
Conduct candidate sourcing utilizing social media, networking, Boolean searches, referrals, and hiring events.
Create and maintain a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting and onboarding process.
Review candidate resumes and conducts in person and phone screening of candidates.
Conduct other general Human Resources duties and reporting.
Requirements
2 to 3 years of Human Resources experience, to include recruiting.
Knowledge of the construction industry and construction roles is a plus.
Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred, with the ability to translate documents and interpret during conversations.
Must have strong computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
Must be familiar with I-9 requirements and the E-Verify system.
Must be knowledgeable of federal employment laws to include OFCCP, EEO, FMLA, and ADA.

The Project Manager will manage civil underground utility and/or bridge construction projects in the region. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities for the projects assigned to ensure objectives are accomplished within prescribed funding and scheduling parameters.
Monitor/control project(s) budget and schedule ensuring schedules incorporate a 2-3 week look ahead.
Prepare and report project(s) costs, progress, and forecasts.
Establish and execute project work plans.
Maintain open communication while building rapport with client, regulator, and other stake holders.

Perform in depth review of all essential elements of projects assigned to identify challenges to mitigate or opportunities to realize.
Supervise work performed to ensure it meets company standards and quality plan.
Review drawings and specifications for constructability, completeness, and accuracy.
Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and ensuring training needs by subordinates (Project Engineers, Office Engineers, and Project Assistants) are met.
Promptly respond to project ad-hoc needs.
Ensure all on-site compliance, safety, and work rules are followed.
Apply knowledge in heavy civil construction, materials, equipment, and risk management.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
BS Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with some project management experience, a combination of education/relevant experience, or significant relevant project management experience.
Ability to manage 1 large or several smaller projects. Must be able to effectively multi-task.
Ability to supervise multiple individuals (Project Engineers, Office Engineers, Project Assistants).
Basic knowledge of contract law. Ability to negotiate change orders and subcontracts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent Organization and Time Management skill sets.
Solution Builder. Decisive. Conveys sense of urgency.
Proficient with applicable software (Outlook, MS Word, Excel; Project Management software, to include scheduling software, i.e. ProCore, Primavera, HeavyJob, Viewpoint, etc. or equivalent).

Collaborate with the Project Manager to do the initial job setup. Prepare original budget from estimate and maintain budget revisions.
Prepare quantity take-offs for purchasing and payment requisitions in collaboration with appropriate field supervisor. Monitor and update project costs. Gather data and enter quantities for cost reports. Review for accuracy, cost code, approve, copy, file and distribute all receiving tickets and invoices to accounting. Ensure job delays are accurately tracked and well documented in the event of changing conditions-claims and/or pending change orders. Collaborate with Project Manager in ensuring all materials and subcontractors are committed, approved, and available by the time they are required.
Prepare, manage and track Submittals, RFIs, Change Requests, Subcontracts, Purchase logs, and Change Order logs.
Facilitate weekly Job Progress and Owner/Customer Progress meetings with guidance from the project manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Dump smoking containers located at building entrance.
Wash a car or truck when needed.

*The Yard Man works for the Shop Foreman and is required to meet with him daily to review any extra activities needed. The Yard Man must also inform him of his destination whenever leaving the facility.
Check, replace and clean any filters on A/C heat units.

Check caulking around window sills, entrances and other building opening and repair as needed.
Clean all windows and sills, inside and out.
