Job Description We are presently seeking an Assembler that will perform any combination of the following tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems. Schedule: 4/10 Mon-Thurs Location: Miamisburg, OH Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Receives detailed instructions on all work, under close supervision. * Positions, aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in fixture or other holding device. * Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as soldering, potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy, bonding, curing, laser welding, operation of pneumatic machinery, pneumatic presses, etc. * Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases or other packing material. * May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device. * Mounts assembled components such as resistors, capacitors and integrated circuits. * Connects components, wires to printed circuit or route via soldering. * Adjusts, trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics. * Performs inline testing, inspection using measuring instruments and electrical test equipment to ensure parts and assemblies meet production standards. * Ability to cross train on other programs in the facility. * Perform various repair/rework operations using approved written procedures. * Utilizes schematics and blueprint drawings to complete work. * Intermittent OVERTIME, typically completed on Fridays. * Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: * Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. * Six to twenty-four (6-24) months of industrial experience or similar training is preferred. * Ability to read schematics and assembly prints, as well as being thoroughly familiar with such assembly operations as wiring, welding, bonding and soldering is preferred. * Certain job assignments require the ability to obtain and maintain an IPC/J-STD Certification within 90 days of employment and throughout your tenure. * Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 is a plus. * Ability to obtain an ATF Possessor Permit. * Must be able to effectively communicate and engage with all levels of the organization verbally and in writing. * Possesses intermediate computer skills including MS Office, Excel and Outlook. * Please note that due to the requirements from the Department of Energy, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED. This position will report to the SR. Director of Operations and have 7 direct reports and 5 indirect reports. Oversees and manages data integrity of ERP system. Drives development and continuous improvement of ERP related business processes; * Manages supplier performance (delivery, quality, cost, delivery) in close cooperation with quality department. Initiates corrective actions and ensures closure on key supplier issues; * Drives site material cost reduction efforts and participates in overall corporate cost reduction programs. Works with suppliers to identify opportunities for cost reduction through product value engineering and through reduction and/or elimination of non-value-added supply chain processes; * Works with Global Sourcing Team to ensure corporate agreements in all procurement activities are leveraged according to necessity; * Reports on key metrics such as inventory, supplier on-time delivery and supplier quality to site management and executive leadership to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement. Your requirements: * Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in a discipline related to materials management or business is desirable; * At least 7 years sourcing / materials management experience in a manufacturing environment; * Experience working in an ISO 9001 or similarly regulated environment; * Experience with Lean concepts such as KanBan, JIT and similar methodology; * Previous experience working with an ERP system is a must.
