POSITION SUMMARY Provide ongoing support and service to clients in conjunction with the Sales Executive and/or Practice Leader assisting with existing clients and new business prospects by performing a variety of tasks. Serves as the primary business contact for Clients and is responsible for possessing and applying knowledge of industry trends and related regulations in the course of servicing Client's accounts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned. Primary contact for clients on insurance program questions and policy changes and oversees the servicing of a designated books of business as it relates to marketing, claims and administration Maintain positive relationships with appropriate personnel at client firms to assure retention of accounts Monitor and research market trends, carrier products offerings and information that will increase knowledge of the insurance industry, our clients and market verticals Responsible for marketing of accounts for new and renewal business including, but not limited to the following: Collect client renewal data, attend pre-renewal meeting if required Obtain preliminary renewal indications from underwriters, facilitate renewal strategy Follow-up with renewal underwriters for quotes Negotiate terms, conditions and pricing of accounts Review and finalize proposals Participate in client presentations Issue binding instructions to successful carriers Responsible for final policy check for new and renewal business as negotiated at binding Assist with preparation and implementation of stewardship reports and service plans Review and approve contracts; work with client to address difference between the contract and insurance program structure Delegate all appropriate insurance tasks to Account Manager, Associate Account Manager or Account Assistant Responsible for collection of premium and maintain account receivables on all assigned accounts Perform all lower level duties proficiently Travel 25% of the time SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have supervisory responsibilities, but is expected to mentor new team members and lower level positions. Informs Supervisor/Manager of all matters that may give rise to an E&O claim. COMPENSATION INFORMATION At Flood and Peterson all full time employees are eligible for benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and paid Volunteer Time Off. Full time employees are also eligible to participate in our excellent 401k program, which includes both safe harbor and discretionary matching. Bonuses may be available for client and employee referrals and for successful completion of approved industry designations. Starting pay for this exempt position is $72,000 - $92,000 annually.
