Nielsen Metal Manufacturing is a metal fabricator serving a variety of industries including food service, building construction, residential construction and exhibits with custom and low to moderate volume repetitive production.

The Production Floor Supervisor's primary responsibility is to efficiently manage all aspects for the floor production including management and prioritization of internal equipment, outside service vendors, production staff and production contractors. The Production Floor Supervisor will provide work direction to fabricators but must also be capable of fabrication themselves including the use of a variety of CNC machinery. The Production Floor Supervisor may also participate in various stages of estimating and bidding and will be responsible for training new production staff and, from time to time, interns.
III. Core Job Functions:
The Production Floor Supervisor performs a wide range of duties including but not limited to the following:
Development and maintenance of all aspects of the business's production workflow.
Operation of CNC equipment
Provide work direction to employees as appropriate per the direction of the General Manager
Safely operate all other metal fabrication equipment:
Drill Press Saws Lathes Punching Machines Various hand tools Shear Welding equipment Other
Suggest and implement process improvements that result in increased efficiency and product quality
Provide training to employees in areas of expertise
Perform any other tasks and duties necessary in order for the agency to meet its mission.

Education and Experience
Desired - Technical college degree in metal forming and/or CNC equipment Desired - 3 + years utilizing CNC equipment Required – Demonstrated ability to supervise employees and lead teams
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
General knowledge of all production functions within a metal fabrication operation Understanding of metal materials and their behavior during fabrication Strong math skills Demonstrated ability to operate automated machines including CNC machines Ability to quickly learn new methods and new machines as they are introduced to the operation
Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Nielsen Metals: Workplace is a metal work facility that is accessible and smoke free. Work may include local travel. Working hours are generally 7:30 am – 4 pm, Monday-Friday, but may include evening and weekend hours. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate and frequently loud.

PURPOSEThis position will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Operations Manager in overseeing warehouse operations in the bulk area picking and put-away process. This position will also be responsible for all orders, ensuring on time shipment, holding daily pre-work meetings to communicate information to the team members and ensuring the accuracy of the inventory. This position may supervise a team of 8 to 10 team members. The Floor Supervisor will coach team members on the importance of quality work performance and work to ensure superior customer service.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
