As the Chief Executive Officer of Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS), Nathan Walcker oversees implementation of the organization’s mission to provide world-class cancer care, close to home in community-based settings across the state of Florida. He leads the development of strategic initiatives that continue to drive FCS forward as a national cancer care leader. His top priorities as CEO are three-fold: 1) ensuring that patients battling cancer receive the highest quality clinical care with convenient access to innovative treatment options, 2) investing in early phase drug development, research and novel treatments, and 3) delivering a relentless focus on operational, clinical and financial excellence. Walcker joined FCS in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing more than a decade of diverse healthcare, physician services and corporate finance expertise with him to Fort Myers. He was appointed CEO in 2020. Previously, he served as a key member of Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Global Healthcare Investment Banking group in New York, advising the firm’s public and emerging growth health care clients and leading private equity firms. Walcker began his career on Wall Street on the Merrill Lynch trading floor in New York and went on to assume increasing responsibilities as an Investment Banker and strategic advisor to corporations, entrepreneurs and public company boards. Walcker earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Columbia University. Since joining FCS, Walcker has made significant contributions across finance and accounting operations, business planning and strategy, and fiscal compliance policy and practices. He was instrumental in guiding cost containment efforts that have enabled the ongoing delivery of patient care with minimal disruption throughout global COVID-19 pandemic. Making a difference and driving change are critically important to Walcker, who is inspired daily by the dedication and commitment of his many FCS teammates. “FCS is a really special organization,” he says. “Our shared commitment to patient care, quality, innovation and teamwork drives everything we do, and every choice we make as an organization.” Deeply committed to community service, Walcker serves on several community boards including American Cancer Society’s CEOs Against Cancer. Nancy is a seasoned attorney with over 25 years of experience in healthcare, senior living and banking. She has had executive leadership responsibility for the strategic oversight of legal, risk management, compliance, workers compensation, claims and litigation, and insurance matters. Within the health care sector, she has consistently played a lead role in building high performing teams and fostering cultures of safety, transparency, service, and operational excellence. In addition, Nancy has served as a board member for off-shore insurance captives and physician joint ventures.

Prior to joining FCS, Nancy served as Executive Vice President & Chief Legal Officer for Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH), a $1.8 billion community-based health system in the Chicago area. She provided governance support to the health system, hospital and affiliate boards, and served as an advisor to the Medical Executive Committee and a member of various ethics committees. Nancy led negotiations, due diligence and the regulatory approval process for NCH’s merger with NorthShore University Health System a multi-hospital system.

Previously she served as Executive Vice President & General Counsel for Enlivant, which operates 230 assisted living and memory care facilities across 26 states, and she held various in-house counsel roles with increasing responsibility at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now known as the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab).

After earning her undergraduate degree in economics from DePauw University, Nancy began her career in banking with ABN-AMRO/LaSalle National Bank in Chicago. She later received her Juris Doctorate from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Rich received an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where he was named a Fuqua Scholar. He graduated cum laude from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and later earned an accounting certificate from the University of Virginia.

An avid outdoorsman and fisherman, Rich enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He has served his community on the board of the Catholic Foundation of Middle Tennessee and the parish council of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Shelly Glenn

As Chief Development & Community Partnership Officer, Shelly plays a key role in bringing FCS to the forefront of community oncology. She oversees critical growth initiatives as well as efforts to strengthen patient advocacy and community partnerships. She joined FCS in 2012 as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. Prior to joining FCS, she was Vice President of Marketing & Sales for Vantage Oncology, a radiation oncology organization based in Atlanta, GA. While at Vantage, she was responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase patient volume as well as the profile of the company. Shelly was formerly the Chief Administrative Officer for Park ‘N Fly and previously held positions with increasing sales and marketing responsibilities at The Care Group, Roche Professional Service Centers and Sandoz Nutrition.

Shelly received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Lehigh University, as well as a Global Leadership designation from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Dedicated to increasing cancer awareness and education, she currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Suncoast Chapter, American Cancer Society’s CEOs Against Cancer, the Secretary of Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation Board and the Chair of the Marketing & Communications Committee for the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO).

She was the 2013 Co-Chair of American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Sarasota/Manatee, named the 2014 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year, the 2016 Chair of the Suncoast Chapter Leadership Team of Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man and Woman of the Year and the 2020 Light the Night Event Chair in Tampa, FL. In addition, Shelly actively participates on the Advisory Committee of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Institute, Women of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (founding member) and was 2018 Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Businesswoman of the Year Finalist.

On the personal side, Shelly enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.
