CAP accredited, 20k sq ft state of the art clinical lab, advanced technologies, services we provide to FCS physicians include molecular diagnostics, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, histology, clinical chemistry. Routine laboratory tests are collected at each Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) site and transported daily to our central laboratory facility for expert analysis and evaluation. FCS clinicians have immediate access to all testing results, usually within 24 hours, which informs timely treatment decisions. Prepare the patient for surgery by positioning them correctly, ensure proper draping, and confirm the surgical site and procedure. Ensure that operative and informed consents are signed and correct. Communicate with the surgeon, anesthesia providers, and other members of the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues that may arise Record all aspects of the surgery, including vital signs, medications administered, and any complications that occur. Assess patients' post-operative condition. Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the surgical process. Log all findings in patient files. Maintain adequate supplies and equipment, including instruments, linens, and medications. Monitor patients for condition changes, reporting any changes to physician. Perform intervention duties during post-operative emergencies. Qualifications: Current Florida Registered Nurse license and BCLS & ACLS certification required.
