Summary:
PET/CT Technologists care for patients while operating equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic medical images for interpretation at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Other responsibility includes EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information, and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all PET examinations. Complies with ALARA and all regulatory requirements for safe and appropriate patient care.
PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously to detect or treat diseases using radioisotope equipment under the direction/supervision of a physician
Calculate or measure, and record radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received, used, and disposed of using a computer following the physician's prescription.
Detect and map radiopharmaceuticals in patients' bodies using a camera to produce photographic or computer images.
Dispose of radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals, following radiation safety procedures.
Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipment.
Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients and assist them during test procedures.
Produce a quality computerized generated image for interpretation by a physician.
Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipment.
Perform quality control checks on laboratory equipment, PET/CT scanners, dose calibrator and all other radiology equipment, devices, etc.
Dispose of radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals, following radiation safety procedures.
Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company-sponsored training programs.
Gather and document information on patients' current conditions and medical history to guide the choice of diagnostic procedures.
Utilize CT Scanner to produce cross-section images of internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues based on proper protocols
Screen and safely administer iodinated contrast intravenously while using CT equipment under the direction of a physician
Start and discontinue IV site for iodinated contrast (when applicable)
Maintain a clean work environment.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required.
Satisfactory Completed formal Nuclear Medicine Technology training in an AMA-approved school preferred.
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT(N) registered or registry eligible required
Registry-eligible graduates must obtain certification within one year of hire. ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) must be obtained within two years of hire.
State CRT license
ARRT Certification in CT / BLS Certification (Required)
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in Nuclear Medicine and CT preferred
Experience with PET/CT Oncology imaging preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

The research coordinator is responsible for the overall successful implementation and ongoing site management of the research studies.

What You'll Do:
Timely and accurately completes assigned tasks which include: triaging of incoming calls, working task logs, scheduling appointments (surgical procedures, pre-operative testing, physical therapy and imaging), handling medication refill request and performing other administrative duties as assigned.
Coordinates all aspects of surgery scheduling to include pre-operative testing, cardiac/medical clearances, patient education, equipment needs and post-operative care. Works closely with the insurance department to ensure proper authorization is obtained. Arranges transportation and interpretation services for patients, when appropriate.
Facilitates the coordination of care with outside referring physicians, ASC's, hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories, physical therapy centers, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, imaging centers and supply vendors.
Properly routes all diagnostic test results, medication requests and other pertinent patient information to the physician in a timely, accurate manner utilizing the PAQ. Urgent results requiring immediate attention need handled accordingly.
Calls in medication requests and refills to the pharmacies as needed paying close attention to name, dosage and SIG. Obtains authorization for the prescription, as needed. Communicates with the front office staff on medication requests and patient pick-ups.
What Your Qualifications Should Be:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred.
CPR certification (or ability to obtain within three months of hire).
Experience with EHR systems (NextGen preferred) and knowledge of basic surgical techniques.

Job Description Summary:
Will handle most clerical duties associated with a medical clinic.
The job of Patient Services Specialist (PSS) is divided into "stations." Each station has a distinct set of job duties, which includes job duties that usually are performed by one employee in a usual day. However, in addition to the "usual" duties of the station they are sitting in, every PSS employee is required and expected to assist their co-workers in performing every job duty of a PSS at all times. All employees hired for the Patient Services Specialist position will be expected to learn and perform all duties of all front office stations.
Due to the different office layouts, the person doing the named station that day or week may not perform some of the listed job duties. Demonstrated strong copywriting and editing skills are essential. Requires attention to detail and the ability to consistently meet time-sensitive priorities. SUMMARY:
The Clinical Oncology Pharmacist will serve as a member of the central services team where our focus is to deliver best-in-class pharmaceutical support to all clinical staff throughout the organization. As a member of the Pharmacy Operations team, the incumbent will ensure delivery of therapeutic medication monitoring, protocol management, medication information, education, and performance improvement that ensures safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy.
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Pharmacy Clinical Services, the Clinical Oncology Pharmacist works collaboratively with Hematology/Oncology physicians and nursing staff to provide quality patient care appropriate for the patient's oncologic diagnosis, prescribed treatment, age group and other identified needs. The pharmacist coordinates the drug therapy process on Hematology/Oncology patient population which may include any of the following activities but is not limited to drug selection (including the use of genetic/biomarker testing in the drug selection process), drug information, dosing, monitoring, outcomes management, retrospective drug utilization monitoring and compliance. Provides support for the development of the new regimen builds and inquiries.
PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
KPA 1 - Clinical Oncology Pharmacy Support
* Provides timely consultation services to physicians, nurses, pharmacy staff, and other members of the organization. Travel to clinics within an assigned region in Florida will be required.
* Delivers up to date drug information on new approved therapies in the oncology space as well as other biologic therapies.
* Applies current pharmacological and biopharmaceutical principles for the selection and use of drug products in a clinical setting to meet the therapeutic needs of a patient.
* Provides senior clinical support and education to other members of the department in correlation with operational projects and objectives.
KPA 2 - Pharmacoinformatics
* Reviews drug utilization reports alongside other corresponding data to identify areas of need or improvement as it applies to appropriate usage and best health outcomes.
* Develops action plans to address issues of under/over utilization according to approved indications, NCCN Guidelines, formulary, etc.
* Develops metrics related to pharmacy data, clinical data, cost data, and functional data that can be applied to improve clinical outcomes, cost control, and overall system usage.
KPA 3 - Advances the Practice of Oncology Pharmacy
* Assesses changes or need to make changes to improve care of oncology patients or for a topic for advancing the pharmacy profession or oncology pharmacy.
* Contributes to the Pharmacy Operations team and applicable committees by providing clinical leadership.
* Participates in local, state, or national pharmacy organizations and further implements improvement strategies that align with the goals of the department.
KPA 4 - Participate and Promote Quality Assurance
* Assists with medication order set development to assure safe, complete, and accurate medication ordering and administration and appropriate medication use.
* Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement and maintain continuous quality improvement strategies that mitigate the risk of drug errors.
KPA 5 - Project Management
* Executes project activities in accordance with established schedules, milestones, and processes to ensure that all projects are well scoped, well documented, and completed on time and within budget of the project in conjunction with the Director of Pharmacy Operations.
* Develops and manages project documentation from planning through final project implementation.
* Ensures all appropriate stakeholders are identified and communicated throughout the project management life cycle.
* Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES
* College degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred.
* Licensed pharmacist, required

Prepare the patient for surgery by positioning them correctly, ensure proper draping, and confirm the surgical site and procedure. Ensure that operative and informed consents are signed and correct.
Communicate with the surgeon, anesthesia providers, and other members of the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues that may arise
Record all aspects of the surgery, including vital signs, medications administered, and any complications that occur. Assess patients' post-operative condition.
Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the surgical process. Log all findings in patient files.
Maintain adequate supplies and equipment, including instruments, linens, and medications. Monitor patients for condition changes, reporting any changes to physician.
Perform intervention duties during post-operative emergencies.
Qualifications:
Current Florida Registered Nurse license and BCLS & ACLS certification required.
Candidate must possess general clinical competency in acute patient care

On call duties as assigned (1-2 weeks per month)
What Your Qualifications Should Be:
Graduate from accredited Physician Assistant Program
Minimum of one year experience as a Physician Assistant (Orthopedic experience preferred)
Must be licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Florida
Orthopedic, clinic or hospital setting experience preferred
Current CPR Basic Certification
