PET/CT Technologists care for patients while operating equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic medical images for interpretation at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Other responsibility includes EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information, and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all PET examinations. Complies with ALARA and all regulatory requirements for safe and appropriate patient care.
PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously to detect or treat diseases using radioisotope equipment under the direction/supervision of a physician
Calculate or measure, and record radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received, used, and disposed of using a computer following the physician's prescription.
Detect and map radiopharmaceuticals in patients' bodies using a camera to produce photographic or computer images.
Dispose of radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals, following radiation safety procedures.
Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipment.
Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients and assist them during test procedures.
Produce a quality computerized generated image for interpretation by a physician.
Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipment.
Perform quality control checks on laboratory equipment, PET/CT scanners, dose calibrator and all other radiology equipment, devices, etc.
Dispose of radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals, following radiation safety procedures.
Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company-sponsored training programs.
Gather and document information on patients' current conditions and medical history to guide the choice of diagnostic procedures.
Utilize CT Scanner to produce cross-section images of internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues based on proper protocols
Screen and safely administer iodinated contrast intravenously while using CT equipment under the direction of a physician
Start and discontinue IV site for iodinated contrast (when applicable)
Maintain a clean work environment.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required.
Satisfactory Completed formal Nuclear Medicine Technology training in an AMA-approved school preferred.
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT(N) registered or registry eligible required
Registry-eligible graduates must obtain certification within one year of hire. ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) must be obtained within two years of hire.
State CRT license
ARRT Certification in CT / BLS Certification (Required)
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in Nuclear Medicine and CT preferred

Job Description Summary:
Will handle most clerical duties associated with a medical clinic.
The job of Patient Services Specialist (PSS) is divided into “stations.” Each station has a distinct set of job duties, which includes job duties that usually are performed by one employee in a usual day. RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of a physicians' (DL) patient navigator is to build effective working relationships with the primary care physicians, specialists, patients, healthcare teams and resource providers in guiding patients through the cancer care process from diagnostic and treatment through recovery and surveillance.
Additionally, the patient navigator investigates, resolves, documents and reports specific patient and family compliments and concerns to leadership and staff,

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for personnel, clerical, nursing, laboratory, housekeeping, and maintenance functions at a specific office location.

Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, master's degree in nursing or post-masters nurse practitioner certificate program

Will handle most clerical duties associated with a medical clinic.
The job of Patient Services Specialist (PSS) is divided into “stations.” Each station has a distinct set of job duties, which includes job duties that are usually performed by one employee in a typical day. Summary:
Assists physician in the care and teaching of patients.
PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status through interviews, health histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic studies.
· Write prescriptions for medication and blood products based on laboratory results, routine diagnostic and follow-up studies, therapeutic measures, and care post-discharge in accordance with written practice protocols.
· Based on findings, determine patients' eligibility for entry into clinical trials.
· Interpret and evaluate findings of studies/tests.
· Relay appropriate information regarding patient care to the collaborating physician.
· Administer therapeutic measures / obtain specimens as prescribed.
· Dictate follow-up letters to referring physicians with summaries of treatment, response and plan.
· Dictate or writes patient history, admissions, progress notes, and discharge notes in a timely manner.
· Assist in the management of family dynamics and coping mechanisms during acute and chronic phases of patients' care.
· Conduct or participate in daily multi-disciplinary rounds for assigned patients to ensure patients are receiving appropriate and quality care.
· Provide on-call coverage and perform hospital rounds as needed.
· Triage patients to determine the urgency of physician evaluation.

Summary:
Assists physician in the care and teaching of patients.
PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status through interviews, health histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic studies.
* Write prescriptions for medication and blood products based on laboratory results, routine diagnostic and follow-up studies, therapeutic measures, and care post-discharge in accordance with written practice protocols.
* Based on findings, determine patients' eligibility for entry into clinical trials.
* Interpret and evaluate findings of studies/tests.
* Relay appropriate information regarding patient care to the collaborating physician.
* Administer therapeutic measures / obtain specimens as prescribed.
* Dictate follow-up letters to referring physicians with summaries of treatment, response and plan.
* Dictate or writes patient history, admissions, progress notes, and discharge notes in a timely manner.
* Assist in the management of family dynamics and coping mechanisms during acute and chronic phases of patients' care.
* Conduct or participate in daily multi-disciplinary rounds for assigned patients to ensure patients are receiving appropriate and quality care.
* Provide on-call coverage and perform hospital rounds as needed.
* Triage patients to determine the urgency of physician evaluation.
* Document and report care in an accurate, timely manner using appropriate forms and records.
* Demonstrate a willingness to learn and to remain flexible in the changing healthcare environment.
* Assist staff in times of crisis or emergency.
* Meet with the public outside the institution and efficiently market and promote cancer treatment.
* Determine work priorities, assign work and insure proper completion of work assignments.
* Comply with all federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to patient privacy, patient's rights, personnel law, safety, labor, and employment law. Adheres to FCS and departmental policies and procedures, including IT policies and procedures and Disaster Recovery Plan.

* Keep work area and records neat and orderly.
* Maintain all company equipment in a safe and working manner.
* Maintain and ensure the confidentiality of all patient and employee information as required by the HIPAA regulations.
* Assist in training new employees to related job duties.
* Will be expected to work at any FCS location to help meet FCS business needs as directed by collaborating physicians.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
* Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, master's degree in nursing or post-masters nurse practitioner certificate program
* Current license/registration to practice in the state of Florida, prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply
* Certification from American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the Oncology Nurses Certification Corporation (ONCC).
* BLS certified

RESPONSIBILITIES

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for personnel, clerical, nursing, laboratory, housekeeping, and maintenance functions at a specific office location.
Delegate and assign duties to employees.
Advise, aid, and seek consent from the Division Director to coordinate and manage the activities of the assigned office location.
Considered to be a “working manager” as backup for the front office staff.
Support the financial goals of the company by being fiscally responsible in all areas, including staffing and purchasing.
QUALIFICATIONS

Job Description Summary:
Will handle most clerical duties associated with a medical clinic.
The job of Patient Services Specialist (PSS) is divided into "stations." Each station has a distinct set of job duties, which includes job duties that usually are performed by one employee in a usual day. However, in addition to the "usual" duties of the station they are sitting in, every PSS employee is required and expected to assist their co-workers in performing every job duty of a PSS at all times.
