The Electrician III is responsible for all aspects of residential, commercial, and industrial wiring, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing of Rumpke owned equipment and buildings. * Schedule and complete repairs and installations according to company priorities.
* Install new residential, commercial, and industrial service equipment.
* Perform commercial & industrial troubleshooting, repairs, and installations.
* Perform accurate daily time sheets.
* Maintain and ensure the safe operating condition of assigned equipment and tools according to company policy and OSHA.
* Perform skilled electrical maintenance and repair in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
* Supervise Electrical Contractors on large projects as assigned by Electrical Department Manager.
* Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
* Maintain open communication with the Electrical Department Manager.
* Follow all company policies.
* Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:
* Must obtain your Journeyman license within 6 months of employment.
* Proficiency with National Electrical Codes and OSHA regulations.
* Self-motivated and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
* Capable of using all electrical testing equipment and electrical tools.
* Proficient bending and installing Rigid and EMT conduit.
* Must have the knowledge and experience to make code compliant and safe repairs and installations.
* Ability to work at different heights with necessary safety equipment.
* Must be available to be on-call.
* May be assigned to work various hours and shifts based on business needs.
* Requires out of town overnights stays.

* Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
* Ability to travel between offices, as required.
* Ability to work flexible hours; overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.

The selection process will consist of a competitive examination with credit for education and experience. A passing score must be obtained on the competitive examination in order to receive credit for education and experience. TEST WEIGHTS: Competitive Examination 70%, Education 20%, Experience 10%.
Candidates must meet the qualifications and requirements listed in the announcement at the time of examination and at the time of appointment.
NOTE: The competitive examination may be suspended if shown to be impractical because of an insufficient number of qualified candidates. The candidates will then be ranked in a standard manner based on 70% for qualifying, 20% for education, and 10% for experience.
