Overview:
Responsible for a broad spectrum of duties, covering all aspects of the Mission Critical business unit, including, client relationships, financial management, project oversight, estimating, sales, project planning, cost management, cost estimating, forecasting, time/labor management, quality management, contract administration, and safety management. The Regional Manager is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the business unit are continuingly monitored kept in line with the business planning process. Manages overall project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, project specific estimating, submittal/RFI procurement, document control, constructability resolutions, aspects of project accounting, project specific purchasing and safety, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management
Lead and mentor a team of project managers, estimators, and support staff.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the Mission Critical business unit.
Strategic Planning
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals and expand market presence with Suffolk and external clients.
Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth and service diversification.
Build and execute annual business plans aligned with strategic objectives.
Project Oversight
Oversee planning, execution, and closeout of General Requirements, All Access, and Special Projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and scope execution.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address issues proactively.
Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, labor teams, and material providers.
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for all client deliverables and emerging opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and negotiations.
Financial Management
Prepare and manage project budgets alongside project teams.
Analyze financial performance and implement improvements to enhance profitability.
Oversee the Mission Critical WIP, P&L, and annual business plan.
Safety
Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Champion a culture of safety and risk management across all operations.
Estimating & Sales
Ensure timely and accurate estimate preparation.
Partner with client preconstruction teams to maximize opportunities.
Travel Requirements
Willingness to travel to ensure projects are operating smoothly and effectively.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Strong concrete construction knowledge and analytical skills preferred.
Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
Robust experience in project planning, forecasting, and cost estimating.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, digital takeoff software, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Timberline.
Strong understanding of the critical importance of project safety.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to effectively plan, organize, schedule, and make sound decisions based on evolving information.
Ability to work and contribute in a professional, team-oriented environment.
Willingness and ability to wear multiple hats (PM, APM, Assistant Estimator, Assistant BIM, etc.).
Ability to travel to other regions as needed.

i. Possession or use of marijuana or any of its derivatives within the previous six (6) months.
ii. The conviction of any substantiated illegal act including the possession, manufacturing, sale or distribution of any narcotic, controlled substance, illegal, or dangerous drug (excluding misdemeanor marijuana).
iii. Illegal possession or consumption of Adderall more than 3 times and/or within the last 3 years, or illegal possession of any Schedule I or Schedule II drug, or derivative thereof, within the last ten (10) years (excluding misdemeanor marijuana).
iv. Illegal use and or possession of anabolic steroids within the last five (5) years.
(d) Is found to have used in excess, as determined by the Police Chief, or to be addicted to illegal drugs or narcotics unless the applicant:
i. Has successfully completed a supervised drug rehabilitation program and is no longer engaging in the illegal use of drugs, or has otherwise been rehabilitated successfully and is no longer engaging in such use; or
ii. Is participating in a supervised rehabilitation program and is no longer engaging in such use.
(e) Who has been convicted of the following:
i. A felony as defined in the Code of Virginia, or a crime of comparable nature in any other jurisdiction.
ii. Any Class 1 or Class 2 misdemeanor (excluding traffic offenses) within the last five (5) years (minor offenses may be looked at on a case by case basis).
iii. Any crime involving moral turpitude, i.e., lying, cheating, or stealing.
iv. Domestic violence, as defined under the Federal Gun Control Act, or where there is an obvious pattern of abuse as determined by the Police Chief.
(f) Who has intentionally made a false statement of any material fact or practiced or attempted to practice any deception or fraud in his/her application, examination, or in securing his/her eligibility for appointment.
(g) Driving Under the Influence (DUI) conviction within the past thirty six (36) months or refusal to take blood/breath test within the last twelve (12) months.
(h) Any two (2) convictions of DUI of alcohol or drugs within the prior ten (10) year period.
(i) Driver's license is suspended at time of the background check.
(j) Driver's license has been revoked from any State within the past twenty four (24) months.
(k) DMV record shows a large amount of points in the minus column (-10 points or worse) or three (3) or more moving violations within the last twelve (12) months.
(l) A dishonorable military discharge, or a less than honorable military discharge that is the result of misconduct.Physical Requirements- Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including a motor vehicle, a variety of firearms and defense devices, a two-way radio, typewriter, calculator, copier, etc. Must be able to exert up to 150 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Physical requirements of the job are those rated for Medium Work.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Naturalist to join our team at the Walker Nature Center. In this dynamic role, you will design and lead engaging environmental education programs for all ages, with a focus on fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world. You'll also develop informative materials such as brochures, trail guides, and exhibits, and support citizen science initiatives and wildlife monitoring efforts throughout Reston.
Beyond programming, you'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the Nature Center's 72-acre grounds, including trails, habitat gardens, and natural features like ponds and streams. You'll help implement habitat restoration projects, manage invasive species, and support biodiversity through hands-on conservation work. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining live animal exhibits, managing program supplies, and assisting with the daily operations of the Nature House facility. You'll also take the lead on citizen science initiatives, helping engage the community in meaningful data collection and environmental monitoring. As a visible ambassador for the Nature Center, you should be comfortable participating in video productions, creating engaging social media content, and actively representing RA in community outreach efforts. Collaboration is key, you'll work closely with volunteers, seasonal staff, and community partners to deliver high-quality programming and ensure the Nature Center remains a welcoming, safe, and inspiring space for all visitors.
What You'll Bring
Age 21 or older.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Education, Natural Resources, or a related field.
A minimum of two years of experience in environmental education, interpretation, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of local ecology, native plants, wildlife, and conservation practices.
Excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to plan, and lead, creative hands-on programs in both indoor and outdoor settings.
A team player with leadership potential, you have experience working with volunteers and/or supervising seasonal staff.

As a Waterworks Class III Operato r, work involves monitoring and maintaining water treatment processes under the direction of senior operators at either of two water treatment plants. This position involves maintaining operational logs and records, monitoring the plant control ( SCADA ) system and making adjustments, as needed. This position will be responsible for monitoring the distribution and sewer collection systems and making adjustments in accordance with current operational guidelines. Performs routine laboratory tests and interprets results. As a Waterworks Class III Licensed Operator progressing to a Class II licensed Operator, this position will be responsible for monitoring the water treatment plant, including operation of chemical and physical process. This position will be responsible for running laboratory tests at either of two water treatment plants and capable of analyzing test results and plant equipment operation; adjust chemical or physical operation as required. Calibrate plant equipment to standards to ensure accurate measurement of water treatment processes. Assist in rehabilitation of clients through treatment, supervision, education, counseling, mentoring, conflict resolution, and referrals to community resources. assist adult defendants/offenders in leading law-abiding lives, designed to enhance treatment compliance and reduce/prevent incarceration and enhance public safety. Presents cases in court, team meetings and makes sound recommendations to the judiciary. Works directly with Commonwealth Attorney, Defense Attorney, and Treatment Providers to provide continuity of care and treatment. Assist clients' with maintaining compliance with the court's orders. An employee in this class is granted a wide range of authority under the Code of Virginia and performs his/her duties under the general supervision of the Alexandria Criminal Justice Services Director, and maybe called upon to be available on a 24-hour basis in the event of an emergency or crisis.
Examples of Work
* Conduct risk assessments and develop individual treatment plans;
* Meets with clients in various locations to monitor living situation and/or monitor behavior and compliance to treatment and program services;
* Provides supportive services to clients such as crisis intervention, counseling, problem solving, etc.;
* Considers sanctions/rewards for pro-social behavior with collaboration of interdisciplinary team members;
* Writes and maintains thorough and accurate chronological records of all client related contacts;
* Enters and updates data in the PreTrial Community Corrections (PTCC) Case Management System
* Reports are submitted in a timely manner and in accordance to DCJS (Department of Criminal Justice Services) Guidelines;
* Prepares correspondence/reports to the Judge, Commonwealth Attorney and the Defense Attorney regarding defendant/offender(s) compliance with probation by providing court reviews and/or violation reports;
* Prepares and files petitions, court reports and sentencing letters; notifies the client of the court dates, attends and testifies in court as needed;
* Appears and testifies in court;
* Maintain communication with various county, state and community agencies to coordinate services and obtain treatment reports on defendant/offender(s) progress;
* Monitors payments plans for court cost, restitution and service provider fees;
* Assist in the development of treatment groups and serves as liaison with between service providers;
* Ability to facilitate/lead motivational treatment groups;
* Meets regularly with an interdisciplinary teams and attends other meetings as necessary;
* Attends regular meetings with CSB partners and other community stakeholders
* Member of the Alexandria Community Criminal Justice Board Jail Diversion sub-committee;
* Confers with ACJS Director & CSB liaison to discuss assigned cases;
* Attends relevant training sessions, and conferences;
* Maintains & prepares statistical data and administrative reports as requested
* Performs related work as required.

Minimum & Additional Requirements

Summary/Objective
Responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. Ensures ground is prepped and trenches dug out for pipes. Aligns pipes and seals joints together with cement or glue. Responsible for the lay out, assembly and installation of large drain pipe including: Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP), Reinforced Concrete Box (RCB), and Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) on company projects.
Job Responsibilities
* Configure pipe routes.
* Align pipes in pipeline sections.
* Dig trenches with trenching tools.
* Slide pipe into trenches.
* Tell tractor driver where to move pipe in preparation for welding.
