POSITION SUMMARY:
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is currently seeking experienced Law Enforcement Investigators to fill multiple Special Agent positions throughout the state. To be considered as a potential applicant, you must meet the minimum requirement(s) listed below. Positions are available in Miami, Ft. Myers, Orlando, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee and Pensacola.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Special Agents are sworn law enforcement officers who assist the state's criminal justice community by providing a variety of services including:
* Identifying and investigating organized and multi-jurisdictional crimes;
* Apprehending fugitives;
* Collecting and disseminating criminal intelligence information;
* Investigating public corruption;
* Seizing illegally obtained assets;
* Dismantling criminal organizations;
* Assisting in locating missing persons; and
* Providing protective services to Florida's Governor and other dignitaries.
To be considered as a potential candidate, you must meet the minimum qualifications(s) listed below. Degrees must be from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Four (4) years of sworn law enforcement experience, two of which must be investigative, and applicant must possess current law enforcement certification.

BASE SALARY:
Persons selected will be hired at $66,150.00 and increases are granted based upon appropriations as determined by the Florida Legislature. The annual salary for this position in Monroe, Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach counties will be increased by $4,999.80.
Salary for the position will be commensurate with experience and training.

HIRING PROCESS:

JOB DUTIES:
This work is in forest management and inventory of forestlands in Florida as prescribed under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service (FS) Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) Program.
Locates and/or relocates and re-establishes permanent forest plots using specialized forestry tools and equipment. Gathers, encodes, summarizes and downloads/uploads forest resource data in digital form and/or hard copy, as needed, using computerized field data recorders and computers. Specific coding of land uses, stand history, forest classification, vegetative type, ecosystems and other must be determined and encoded. Identifies forest land ownership in each county through various map features, plats, aerial photography, courthouse visits and site visits. Operates motor vehicles including, but not limited to, cars and trucks necessary to transport personnel to forest and non-forest plot locations. Responsible for fully conducting Forest Inventory and Forest Health Monitoring, Forest Utilization studies, and Timber Product Output surveys in the state of Florida, as assigned.
Produces, develops and incorporates weekly and/or monthly reports, correspondence, verbal communications, records, etc., to the State FIA Coordinator and/or US Forest Service personnel conveying information on the progress, problems, changes and/or other factors affecting the collection of forest resource data.
Provides on-the-job training for field personnel temporarily assigned to forest resource data collection. Meets periodically with others of this job description (in state and out of state) to convey and resolve problems in local, county, state and regional forest resource data collection processes, and shares updated techniques and information critical to data collection.
Conducts various studies to supplement and improve forest data collection, statistical modeling and forest inventory processes.
Attends periodic training sessions through state, federal and private sources, as determined, to improve and update forest resource data collection techniques and to improve job productivity.

This is a highly skilled professional position which requires an expert understanding of the Federal WIC & Nutrition Program and the use of the WIC FL-WiSE system with minimal supervision. Overview:
This full-time Other Personal Services (OPS) position is based out of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC). The FWC is seeking a self-motivated, energetic, outcome-oriented individual to work as part of the Summer Camp Instructor/ Counselor team at the Ocala Outdoor Adventure Camp (OAC) in the Ocala National Forest. OAC is a residential summer camp and sees as many as 700 participants throughout the summer. The incumbents will work with the summer camp team to deliver experiential programs designed to engage youth with Florida's ecosystems through outdoor recreation. The incumbents will be assigned to instruct a specific OAC program for the summer camp season based on their experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The Incumbent will supervise as many as 16 participants at a time with an assisting counselor or Instructor.
The incumbents will supervise campers during daily activities as assigned and sleep in the cabins with campers at night. Incumbents will also be responsible for cabin safety inspections, leading night activities and shower rotations.
Interested individuals must be passionate about getting youth outside to create the next generation that cares about fish and wildlife resources. Programs requiring counselors and instructors at OAC to teach and assist at many activities, including shooting sports, hunter safety, archery, bowhunting education, freshwater fishing, camping skills, canoeing, kayaking, wildlife viewing, and counselor in training programs.
Experience Requirement:
* A High School Diploma and basic understand of conservation with prior knowledge of at least one topic, shooting sports, hunter safety, archery, bowhunting education, freshwater fishing, camping skills, canoeing, kayaking, wildlife viewing, hiking.
* A High School Diploma and at least two months of experience in wildlife conservation field work, conservation, or natural science, and two months of experience working with youth.

Facilitate one of OACC's seven programs as assigned. Note, each program has a specific focus in one or more of the following areas: shooting sports, hunter's safety, archery, bowhunting, freshwater fishing, camping skills, canoeing, kayaking, wildlife viewing, counselor in training.
* Lead hands on educational programming. Or assist instructors with program facilitation as assigned
* Help maintain camp educational supplies and equipment to keep them stocked, clean, organized, and in working order; perform inventory as assigned.
Ensure education programs are in compliance with and operate according to American Camp Association (ACA) standards.
* Supervise daily summer camp activities as assigned (set up, clean up, leading programming, supporting fellow staff, etc.)
* Address minor program changes, behavioral issues, etc. and level-up to Assistant Camp Director or Director where appropriate. Enforce camp code of conduct.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotes residents' skill acquisition by developing, conducting, supervising, and participating in the overall active treatment plan of the residents assigned to the facility through a variety of therapy programs.
