POSITION SUMMARY TRC is seeking a Service Team Leader (STL) to lead TRC's Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Planning (RMP) Services within a specified geographic region of the country. The selected PSM/RMP STL will work collaboratively with other PSM/RMP STLs and the National Director of EHS Services to lead the technical development, work practices/standards/tools, strategic growth, marketing materials, key client account expansion, and execution of PSM - RMP Services. This individual may work from varied locations in the country. Responsibilities * Technical/regulatory leader for the Process Safety Management - Risk Management Planning Services within a specified geographic region. * Develops, implements, and maintains a strategy and execution plan for delivering Process Safety Management - Risk Management Planning Services to our key client/ targeted new client growth account program. * Establishes, maintains, and improves upon our branding, marketing, and sales materials for the delivery of Process Safety Management - Risk Management Planning Services. * Supports our Communications and Marketing Team-s activities regarding digital media campaigns and website content for Process Safety Management - Risk Management Planning Services. * Establishes, maintains, and improves work standards, practices, and tools for the efficient delivery, thoroughness, and quality of Process Safety Management - Risk Management Planning Services. * Mentors and coaches project managers and project consultants for growth and delivery of Process Safety Management - Risk Management Planning Services as part of a national delivery platform. * Project and Client Specific Activities may include: * Performing Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) and Facility Siting Analysis * Conduct/lead PSM and RMP compliance audits to evaluate applicability and conformance with applicable PSM and RMP requirements. * Establishing management system design, development, and implementation to specific standards to manage and control EHS risks. * Developing and implementing written PSM - RMP programs (e.g., employee training, PHAs, operating procedures, mechanical integrity, etc.). * Developing and supporting PSM - RMP training program content. * Performing project management, oversight, and coordination. * Managing and growing client relationships. * Preparing client deliverables. * Mentoring project team members. * Traveling to client sites as needed. * Working with client account managers and account teams to meet client expectations and increase services provided to the client. * Assisting a variety of industrial operations including power, chemical, food - beverage, aerospace, forest products, rail transportation, oil - gas, retail, etc. Qualifications * Professional or technical degree in engineering, safety, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. * 7+ years of providing consulting services related to Process Safety Management, Risk Management Planning, Enforcement Activities, and related Regulatory Requirements for industrial and commercial clients. * Requires strong experience with OSHA-s Process Safety Management (PSM) Standards (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA-s Chemical Accident Prevention Program (40 CFR 68). * Requires previous consulting experience with an existing client base and 3+ years direct responsibility for managing and growing existing accounts and prospecting for new clients related to PSM and RMP Standards. * Proven track record with successful marketing, business development, business management and oversight of regional and/or national businesses. * Strong communications and technical skills both written and oral. * Work as a team player to support our national service platform. * Interface well with and develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees. * Ability to carry equipment up to 40 lbs. * Ability to work in an industrial environment, climb ladders, and stairs. * Be able to wear a respirator, and other safety equipment as needed. * Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation. Preferred Qualifications * Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP). * Certified Professional Process Safety Auditor. * Experience with anhydrous ammonia refrigeration systems. * Knowledgeable of common industry standards for facilities subject to PSM and RMP standards (e.g., API standards, International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR), Chlorine Institute, etc.). * Project management experience. * Preferred skills include experience performing and processing: (1) process hazard analysis (PHA); (2) layer of protection analysis (LOPA); (3) process safety information (PSI); (4) compliance program design and development; (5) compliance auditing; (6) management system design, development, and implementation; (7) performing off-site consequence analysis; (8) facility siting analysis; (9) knowledgeable of the API standards for process and pipeline operations; etc. In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $90K-$155K. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. We are seeking an experienced Ventilation Specialist for testing and certification of HEPA air filtration in laboratory equipment, air filtration devices, and in air conveyance systems to join our Woburn, MA Office. This position would be working within our Building Sciences and Industrial Hygiene business within our Environmental Sector. Responsibilities * Responsible for testing and certification of HEPA air filtration in laboratory equipment and in air conveyance systems, including, but not necessarily limited to, biological safety cabinets, laboratory fume hoods, and other ventilation equipment. * Inspection services include troubleshooting and equipment repairs. * Manage various work schedules and situations related to emergency response scenarios. * Responsible for lifting and carrying of testing equipment. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Science or Engineering related field. Bachelor's Degree is preferred. * Should have a minimum of 2 years of experience inspecting and testing biological Safety Cabinets, laminar flow benches, and chemical fume hoods. * NSF 49 certification or the ability to obtain certification is required. * Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills also very important. * Lifting and carrying of testing equipment required for this position. * Experience testing and certifying clean rooms, spray booths, and other specialized industrial ventilation a plus. * Must be able to commute to project sites as-needed. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Adaptability and flexibility to manage various work schedules and situations related to emergency response scenarios. * Intuitive and creative thinker. He/she is very knowledgeable about property valuation, survey drawings and alignments sheets. Overview TRC is seeking one or more Professional Civil Engineers licensed in Massachusetts or Rhode Island for our engineering and environmental consulting practice in Waltham, MA or East Providence, RI offices. These senior level career-oriented positions will provide operational, permitting, compliance, design, and construction services to a wide variety of clients. These positions allow the opportunity to provide design and technical leadership on challenging projects that typically include site design, earthworks, stormwater management, water resource management, coastal and inland dredging, submarine transmission cables for offshore wind projects, and state, local or federal permitting. As a Professional Civil Engineer, the successful candidates will apply their existing knowledge and develop new skills while working as part of a dynamic and fast paced team. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to guide clients towards complying with various environmental regulations and to address their design and permitting challenges by working with multi-disciplinary project teams to perform analyses and to develop and implement plans, designs, and specifications. A desire to work with internal business development professionals, TRC employees in other offices, other senior managers, establish strategic directions and grow a sustainable client base is essential. Responsibilities Position Responsibilities Include: * Work with other project managers, engineering staff, permitting specialists and drafters to: * Manage and prepare permit and construction-level civil/site design packages to support a wide variety of land development projects that comply with applicable state and federal regulations; * Conduct hydrologic analyses to support planning, development, permitting and design of stormwater management systems; * Design stormwater management systems adapted for specific development sectors in accordance with applicable local, state, or federal regulations; * Supervise and assist with the preparation of engineering plans such as layout and materials plans, grading plans, and soil erosion and sediment control plans; * Prepare technical design reports, compliance reports and permit application packages; * Attend and present project designs and applications at public meeting with various local, state and federal organizations; * Prepare construction and industrial Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans; * Review work done under responsible charge and provide Professional Engineer endorsements; and * Prepare Opinions of Probable Construction Costs / Engineers Estimates. * Manage projects and delegate tasks to others. * Mentoring of other employees. * Ability to prepare proposals and manage budgets, schedules, invoicing and subcontractor procurement and oversight. * Manage the work performance for multiple dynamic projects, develop solutions to project challenges, and communicate proactively with staff of all levels. * Manage field work and contractor oversight services to support the collection of environmental data and/or perform construction quality assurance. * Apply strong AutoCAD Civil 3D, technical writing, data management, organizational, and communication skills to projects and proposals. * Apply, document, and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures. * Make decisions and perform as an independent thinker and leader, but also collaborate with project team personnel. * Work directly with clients professionally and display service-oriented attitude. * Willingness to build a sustaining practice and engage in business development efforts including being active in professional organizations. * Advance career knowledge by attending continuing educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies, etc. * Travel (typically 10 to 15%) throughout the US, primarily MA or RI Qualifications Basic Position Requirements: * 15-20 years' experience as a Civil Engineer with a consulting firm; * Valid Massachusetts or Rhode Island Professional Engineers licensure; * Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering; * Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, assemblies, corridors, grading tools, profiles, plan production tools, coordinate systems and earthwork volume calculations; * Proficiency with HydroCAD stormwater modeling/hydrology software; * Proficiency with MassDEP Stormwater Management Handbook and/or RI Stormwater Design and Installation Standards Manual * Experience with a variety of technical stormwater calculations such as drainage pipe sizing, outlet protection sizing, temporary and permanent stormwater best management practice sizing, and water quality calculations; * Experience with the development and implementation of technical plans, designs, and specifications; * Experience independently analyzing and interpreting data regarding site uses and topography to develop stormwater management plans and best management practices; * Experience preparing and reviewing written technical reports; * Client service skills; and * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Position Requirements: * Experience in performing engineer's opinion of probable cost estimates; * Experience developing or reviewing Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans or Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), hazardous waste contingency plans, emergency response plans, or emergency action plans. * Experience performing construction monitoring and oversight; and * Experience in HEC-RAS and/or other types of Hydraulic Modeling.
