Other duties may be assigned. • Employees will train at the entry-level Groundman position for a minimum of two weeks. • Groundman will prepare railcars for loading and unloading by removing and installing IBC locks. • Employees will also be trained in the Hostler Driver position. • Drivers perform a variety of driving tasks, including hauling containers from the rail track to other areas of the intermodal yard for outside driver pickup, moving chassis, and moving containers about the intermodal yard in a safe and efficient manner. The Corrugator Lead will report directly to the shift supervisor. Responsibilities include making sure that all crew members are working Safely by way of wearing the required PPE and implementing Lock-Out Tag-Out when required. The Road Foreman of Engines is the Designated Supervisor of Locomotive Engineers (DSLE) as described in Florida East Coast (FEC) Railway's Locomotive Engineer Certification Program. Ensures compliance with all FEC and Federal Railroad Administration requirements for eligibility, training, testing, certification and monitoring of locomotive engineers. Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES: * Teaches federally-mandated certification program for company's engineers, including classroom instruction and riding locomotives * Partners with Transportation management to provide technical information regarding safety, equipment, and policies * Provides training and information to Engineers regarding certification and terrain * Reviews and implements operations processes in order to maximize efficiency * Tests and qualifies Engineers to ensure license certification is achieved and maintained * Conduct training classes for company's conductors and trainmen * Observes engineers on locomotives during efficiency tests to ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policy; also makes these same type observations of engineer performance while remaining unseen along the right-of-way * May be required to function as an engineer, conductor, or trainmen during times of need * Promote safety among employees * Other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of company's train crews * Interview, hire, and train employees * Supervises train, engine and yard crews for safe and efficient operation * Plan, assign, and direct work while appraising performance * Address complaints and resolve problems Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Federal and local regulation knowledge regarding train operations * Must be a certified locomotive engineer with five (5) years of verifiable experience as a locomotive engineer * Must be able to successfully pass test(s) and perform the duties of the Designated Supervisor of Locomotive Engineer * Two years of supervising, directing, or being a team leader for train operations personnel * Must have thorough working knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations Part 240 * Must be safety conscious and able to support and contribute to a strong safety process * Must be able to read, interpret, and analyze locomotive event recorder data. * Must have demonstrated experience using Wi-Tronix systems for locomotive data review and analysis. * Must have experience conducting and presiding over formal disciplinary investigations in accordance with company policy, applicable agreements, and regulatory requirements. Provide safe and effective management and retention of Owner Operators with Raven. Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and company policies and procedures and responsible for the cost effective use of resources including contractors, equipment, and supplies and will assign motor vehicles and drivers for conveyance of freight. Will require weekend, night or overnight shift once training is complete. Responsibilities * Supervise assigned Owner Operators to ensure the highest possible utilization within DOT regulations and company policy• Efficient planning of Owner Operators to enable high production from each unit and ensure on-time delivery performance for customers• Complete all dispatch work in the TL2000 system in real time environment• Monitor and handle all daily check calls by Owner Operators and ensure they are in compliance with company policy• Monitor and communicate all service failures of Owner Operators to the Operations Manager and the Customer Service Team• Work closely with Safety to address performance issues and ensure compliance with DOT • Responsible and accountable for performance issues of drivers• Record and monitor the daily hours of service to ensure DOT compliance• Maintain files and monitor repairs on rail and non-rail equipment• Maintain close communication with Raven/FECHS customer base• Assist with Owner-Operator recruiting efforts as necessary• Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• High School Diploma/GED• 5 or more years of experience required in Transportation, Logistics, or OperationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATION:• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Logistics, Operations• 5 or more years of experience required in Transportation, Logistics, or Operations• Spanish bilingual KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:• Must be familiar with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, issued by the U. S. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Mechanics inspect equipment for damage or failures. * Perform diagnostics and repair service for equipment component failures. * Remove and replace damaged or defective components, and operate support equipment including forklifts, man lifts, and service trucks. * Mechanics may also be required to perform basic welds, clean the shop area, and perform stocking functions. * Will be cross trained to work on cranes and heavy equipment All work performed must be done in a safe and efficient manner Qualifications QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS.
