The Florida Gateway College in Lake City, Florida, is a high-quality, two-year institution that aims to serve the educational needs of North Florida citizens through career training, a solid foundation in the liberal arts and professional skill development. The Student Activities Office coordinates educational and recreational programs on campus, designed to enrich your educational experience. Some activities and events include the Fall Festival, Constitution Day, Spring Fling and Multicultural Day. The school strives to provide an active, exciting student life to all students, no matter where your interests lie. The college strives to meet the workforce demands of North Florida, offering academics in high-demand fields like Allied Health, Golf and Landscape Operations, Computer Science and Graphic Design. The school also offers occupational programs in Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Engineering and more. Admissions are open. This allows any student who has earned a high school diploma, GED or home school requirements the opportunity to enroll. A number of certificate programs are offered to students regardless of high school graduation. Tuition is set lower for Florida residents. Financial aid is available to eligible students to file a FAFSA. Forms of aid include institutional scholarships, Florida state grant and assistance programs, Pell grants, student loans and work study programs.
