EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS The person filling this position must have a high school diploma or GED. Two years experience in a warehouse setting is preferred. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties and responsibilities are given as examples of the various types of work performed in this position. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. 1. Receives, stores, cleans, and repairs donated items. 2. Arranges display and storage areas for maximum utilization. 3. Assists in maintaining a clean appearance of store and surrounding grounds. 4. Assists with loading and unloading items. 5. Must be familiar with the entire process of non-cash gifts and the operation of the Thrift Store. 6. Picks up and transports donated items. 7. Issues non-cash receipts to donors. 8. Assists in operating check out lanes, as needed. 9. Assists customers and donors promptly and courteously. 10. Assists in performing administrative duties, as needed. 11. Represents the Youth Ranches and Sheriffs Ranches Enterprises in a positive manner to donors, customers, and the general public and provides exceptional customer service. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical requirements described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Family Engagement Director works cooperatively with the staff, acting as a field liaison between the parents of placed youth and the agency and provides time limited aftercare support and networking depending on the youth's length of stay in the program. The Family Engagement Director will engage community partners such as Sheriff Offices, schools, churches, job fairs, shelters, and other community resources to share the mission of our Agency and to seek out disadvantaged students that could benefit from our program. The Family Engagement Director supervises all Family Engagement Specialists. The Family Engagement Director is directly responsible to the Vice President Programs. At the request of the program, assists the family in complying with the Family Agency Agreement through consistent evaluation of the monthly support payment balance and follow up when the account is not current, there are changes to the agreement, or the family is having difficulties meeting the terms of or is in noncompliance of the agreement. Develops, maintains, and submits timely accurate case record documentation, mini social histories, 6-month post placement surveys, outcome measures, and other reports as needed. Assists the family in identifying community resources and developing an alternative plan when services are no longer needed or provided by the Youth Ranches, which may include providing direction to families after youth's discharge from the residential program and/or the aftercare monitoring program. Maintains a resource knowledge within the assigned outreach area that includes the regional Community Based Care organization (CBC), schools, mental health programs, social/human services agencies, sheriff's offices, and other identified agencies and maintains quality relationships with all resources through a disciplined pattern of visitation. Manages, participates and instructs as necessary on various topics required by the FSYR and its contractual and monitoring agencies. Provides additional training for staff when needed. Participates in training activities with staff and community partners on campus and in the community. Develops a schedule to engage community partners such as schools, shelters, job fairs, churches, and other community resources to share our mission and seek out disadvantaged students that will benefit by attending our program. Assists with coordination of the annual summer camp program by establishing community referral contacts to assist in the placement process. In cooperation with other Agency Staff participate in the planning and delivery of family engagement activities such as Family Fun Days at the Boys Ranch, Harmony In the Family and Weekend TBRI camps. Assists the Camp Director in the initial review of camper applications to determine appropriateness for the camp program based on medical issues. Uses thoroughness and discretion while dispensing medications and maintaining accurate medical files for participants of programs. Practices alertness and truthfulness in keeping the Camp Director informed of medical concerns, safety issues, and incident follow-up. Exhibits enthusiasm and persuasiveness during leadership of medical and safety related trainings for staff. Demonstrates resourcefulness and thriftiness in the wise stewardship of the agency's resources when ordering and maintaining medical supplies for all of Camp. Ensures the orderliness of supplies and equipment are adequate and inventoried regularly. Expresses gentleness and attentiveness when arranging for the medical care of youth in program including regularly scheduled or emergency services. Maintains good public relations with the medical community as a liaison between Youth Ranches and doctors, emergency rooms, pharmacies and other medical providers. Prepares medical standing orders and has local doctor approve and sign camps medical procedures and standing orders annually prior to summer camp. Displays dependability and flexibility when assisting other staff members with tasks as needed or approved by Camp Director. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS The person filling this position must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and currently licensed as a Nurse with the State of Florida (requires licensure as a Registered Nurse.) We operate three traditional sleep away camps along with a traveling day camp program. Group Leaders for Mobile Camp will travel each week to different cities in Florida. Currently we are hiring for our Group Leader positions. Come work a few hours a month (PRN) now until the start of our summer season in May when you will transition to full time for the summer. Job Type: PRN now & then Full-Time in May Pay: $15.00 per hour now. ($300.00 per week includes room & board from May to Aug) SUMMARY The position of Group Leader is the most vital aspect of the Summer Camping Program because it has constant interaction with the campers. This position involves the continuous leadership, guidance and supervision of campers. This position will participate in the planned camp program and serve as the major initiator of group activities. The Group Leader is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the campsite and unit area. The Group Leader is directly supervised by the Senior Group Leader and/or Mobile Camp Site Director. This position is exempt from overtime pay. Depending on the camp location you choose Daytona Beach, Gainesville, and Jacksonville are only an hour away! Staff are given multiple hour long wellness breaks each day. During a paid week of pre-service training all staff will receive transferable certifications in Adult First Aid/ CPR/AED ($30 value) along with training on topics such as; trauma informed care, non-violent crisis intervention, and the basics of childcare.
