ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates and maintains automatic presses and dryers Follows department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Operates and monitors the press to ensure the tile is pressed to specifications. Inspect the press and associated equipment before each shift. Checks and regulates cycle speed, as required. Checks thickness of tile and body moisture. Maintains and keeps dies, die cases, and riser blocks clean. Routinely checks and adjusts blow-off to ensure proper case cleaning. Routinely audits lug dimensions to ensure proper size. Produces enough ware to enable the line to meet production requirements. Assists with the training of new Press Operators. Assists with PM program and general maintenance. Conducts regular quality checks, corrects defects, and reports uncorrectable defects to supervisor immediately to minimize controllable defects. Cleans tools and equipment used to perform duties. Completes all necessary reports accurately, thoroughly, and neatly. Advises the supervisor on repairs and items that must be scheduled and conducted. Maintains cleanliness of the area. Practices correct safety procedures. Performs related tasks as required. QUALIFICATIONS: General knowledge of the principles and practices of operating and servicing press equipment, General knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions necessary to properly operate the equipment. SUMMARY: Responsible for the operation and mechanical maintenance of the Finishing Lines. Must supply your own basic tools and secure tool storage. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Operate finishing lines as scheduled to meet production needs. * Perform preventive maintenance items in Rectify and Polishing departments including, but not limited to: * Replace grinding wheels and saw blades on the rectifying line. * Replace flickers and refill additives on the polishing line. * Repairing and replacing belts and rollers on elevators, platforms, conveyors, etc. * Levelling rollers, belts, platforms * Replacing gearboxes * Rebuilding row formers * Replace roller belt drives and roller chain drives * Check, tighten, and replace blower drive belts. * Repair Tecnoferrari loader/unloader. * Repair breakdowns not involving electrical components (worn gears, broken shafts, ripped belts, etc.) * Assist with process troubleshooting * Make notes of possible problems and notify the supervisor so corrections can be scheduled. * Document work as it is completed * Must be willing to work overtime as needed and accept night weekend call-ins for emergency work. * Operate TGV's * Additional duties as assigned. General knowledge of proper application & care of typical maintenance repair & fabrication shop equipment / tools. Work is performed under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Receives product and orders both physically and in the system * Performs quality inspections * Operates a forklift and other equipment as needed * Ensures trucks are unloaded properly * Prepare orders based on packing lists; * Achieves and maintains acceptable minimum standards of activity; * Verifies color and records grade, shade, and quantity selected for shipment; * Palletizes cartons according to shipping orders; * Moves production materials into warehouse; * Moves pallets of material within warehouse and trucks; * Ensures trucks are loaded properly according to the shipping order; * Assist order processors with selection and palletizing materials; * Maintains order and condition of all material stored in warehouse; * Identifies and processes return materials; * Inspects assigned equipment on a daily basis; * Performs general housekeeping duties; * Performs other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Inspects, grades, sorts, and packages finished product * Follows department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). * Sets up all tile sorting equipment needed. * Inspects tile by color and shade into Standards, Dixie or scrap. * Grades tile, by defect, according to defect boards or samples. * Grades tiles by dotting them with fluorescent dye or manually hand grades as needed. * Notifies supervisor when new or excessive amounts of defects are observed. * Assists with clearing jams on the sorting line. * Practices correct safety practices. * Maintains cleanliness of the area. * Performs related tasks as required. QUALIFICATIONS: * Some knowledge of tile shading, coloring, and grading. * Ability to separate shades of colors. * Ability to rapidly differentiate the grade of tile. * Ability to follow oral and written instructions. * Mechanically inclined.
