Job DescriptionThe Receiving ATL will assist in the leadership of the receiving team while developing their own knowledge, skills and abilities. As the Receiving Associate Team Leader, you will support the Team Leader in providing overall management and supervision of the Receiving Team.Responsibilities

+ Interview, select, train, develop, and counsel Team Members in a manner that is conducive for building and sustaining a high performing team, and minimizes turnover.

+ Ensure that all Team Members are following the training program (including monitoring progress and processing all required paperwork).

+ Establish and maintain a positive work environment, which sustains an exceptionally high level of Team Member morale.
+ Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful Job Dialogues.

+ Communicate and maintain employee safety and security standards.

+ Manage team operations to meet Whole Foods Market quality standards, maintain competitive pricing and achieve targeted sales.

+ Establish and maintain collaborative and productive working relationship with Facility Team, Team Leaders, and all Team Members.

+ Confer with Facility Team Leader and other Team Leaders to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with other activities such as order management, purchasing, accounting and human resources.

+ Ensure Team Members receive accurate paychecks and timely benefits.

+ Establish and maintain positive and productive vendor relationships.

+ Maintain comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure compliance with relevant regularity rules and standards, including: OSHA, FMLA, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Department of Labor, Health and Sanitation, FDA, Department of Agriculture, Weights and Measures.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

+ Comprehensive knowledge of general warehouse practices and terminology

+ Proper use of knives, personal protective equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, six wheel carts, baler and all other equipment used during preparation and clean up within department and facility

+ Ability to work well with others, self-motivated and capable of working independently with little supervision. Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the Distribution Center, including nights, weekends and holidays as required
