This position supports the business units in casting aspects (supplier quality, castings, welding, machining, heat treatment, corrosion, trouble shooting) and strikes a great balance between working in both the office and plant environment. The Flowserve Dayton Titanium Foundry Project Engineer will play an essential role in creating “extraordinary flow control solutions to make the world a better place for everyone.” Responsibilities Include: Demonstrate a sense of passion and urgency, inspiring commitment to the Flowserve Purpose and Values of People, Safety, Integrity, Innovation, Ownership, and Excellence. Serve as an advocate for integrity and ethics while promoting trust and setting a positive example that energizes others about the future. Foster and Drive a results-orientated CIP environment and mindset of operational excellence across all functions at the Dayton Titanium Foundry. Review, analyze, plan, communicate, and execute on plant-wide CIP recommendations. Provide engineering/technical support to site leadership concerning CIP projects, Quality and Production at Dayton Titanium Foundry. Provide a leading role in maintenance and repair process that negatively impact the foundry. Process and disposition non-conforming returned material. Recommend CIP that aligns with mitigating future non-confirming returned material. Administer the CMTR (Chemical and Mechanical Test Result) Certification program, engage with customer and resolve any inquiries related to materials certification. Dispatch samples to outside laboratories. Maintain support of ISO Quality System and assist in internal/external audits and resolution of Corrective Actions associated with the Dayton Titanium Foundry. Work with customers to process orders in a timely and effective manner. Be willing to attend educational trainings and seminars. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Foundational knowledge of materials and mechanical properties Takes ownership and questions the status quo to achieve results that are beyond what expected Must be self-motivated, able to work independently as well as a Leader to drive CIP initiatives. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams with proven track record of successful completion and attainment of project goals Must possess analytic and problem-solving skills Ability to write technical reports and translate technical information/data to non-engineering associates Ability to work with a broad cross section of people from top managers, hourly work force and internal and external customers. Attention to detail and accuracy while handling multiple tasks. Strong organizational and work/project planning skills.
