Documentation of Department records (e.g., inventory of supplies, patient statistics) to ensure adequate supplies and proper patient records 1) Maintain correct patient records. Assemble daily patient schedules and prepare patient folders, to enable the Department to properly preserve patient records. 2) Prepare Ultrasound rooms, ensuring that necessary equipment and supplies are available, before performing procedures 3) Know and operate hospital computer systems as required. Responsible for securing pertinent medical history from the patient, for each procedure, in order to provide the radiologist with adequate information, before film interpretation 1) Obtain pertinent medical history to ensure that the radiologist will have required information, explaining why the diagnostic test is being done. 2) Work closely with the radiologist when requested, to ensure an optimal outcome for each procedure. 3) Maintain positive attitude when dealing with a patient, fellow employee or any personnel encountered during daily activities. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:2. We offer primarily consultative care but do full-scope prenatal care in our resident clinic. Performs medical necessity checks using ICD-9 diagnosis codes and radiology procedures for payor requirements. Communicates proper exam preparation for all services at time of scheduling. Submits images to Radiologists for biopsy determination, coordinating the scheduling with appropriate departments once determination is made. Assists with lab screenings and alert offices of lab needs. Maintains the storage, retrieval and distribution of outpatient radiology written orders and clinical information. Obtains brief patient history and records all pertinent information on finished exams (i.e., dose information patient data, dates, views, etc.). Performs organ concentration and excretion measurements to provide diagnostic information of patient illness.
