Knowledge of magnetic resonance imaging procedures and technology Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies Selects appropriate imaging techniques, and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in automatic processor Obtains images, produces film records and backups from disk to storage media, and transfers from desk to PACS stations Maintains accurate study documentation Performs a variety of tasks A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service. The Cardiovascular Technologist plays a critical role in assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab. This role involves scrubbing procedures, monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, ensuring the procedure room is fully prepared, and supporting both invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. appcast Responsibilities: Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required. Experience: One year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred. What We Offer: Radiology Technologist are eligible for a sign-on bonus of $1,000 (New Hires) The Radiologic Technologist II works independently and/or assists physicians/APCs in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the acute setting. The technologist is responsible for inpatient & outpatient procedures, the emergency room, fluoroscopy, portables, and the operating rooms. What We're Looking For: Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required. Certification required within 6 months of hire post-graduation from an accredited Radiology Program. Experience: Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred. Licensure/Certification: ARRT certification in Radiography - RT(R), required. Applicable state licensure as required, required. Post-graduates from an accredited Radiology Program with be required to pass their ARRT registry within 6 months of completing program, required. Additional Skills Required: Applies principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to patient, self, and others. Demonstrates current knowledge of federal and state radiation safety laws. Properly utilizes personnel monitoring devices. Ensures proper equipment performance and schedules maintenance for emergent needs. Properly operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment. Independently performs radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile procedures, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Assists a licensed practitioner in the performance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including all intraoperative and mobile procedures including the following: ERCP's, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions. Mobile imaging including lines and pacers and neonates.
