**Job Summary:** We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will analyze project specifications, evaluate material and labor costs, and prepare comprehensive estimates for mechanical contracting projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems. Success in this role requires exceptional analytical skills, industry expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and vendors to deliver accurate and competitive bids.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to develop project estimates.
+ Prepare precise and comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment required for plumbing and mechanical systems.
+ Conduct on-site evaluations to assess project requirements and ensure accurate bids.
+ Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to maintain cost efficiency and quality.
+ Foster relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and general contractors to ensure reliable partnerships.
+ Collaborate with project managers and engineers to create competitive and detailed bid proposals.
+ Identify potential project risks, including budget constraints and scheduling conflicts, and propose mitigation strategies.
+ Participate in bid reviews, client negotiations, and project handoff processes.
+ Stay informed about industry trends, material advancements, and pricing fluctuations to ensure up-to-date estimates.
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Expertise in using estimating software such as FastPIPE, QuickPen, Trimble, or Bluebeam; familiarity with ProCore or Computer Ease is a plus.
+ Strong understanding of mechanical systems, local building codes, industry standards, and construction methodologies.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
+ Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple project estimates under strict deadlines.
+ Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop accurate and effective cost projections.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

**Education and Qualifications:**
+ **Required:** High school diploma or equivalent.
+ **Preferred:** Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical estimating, with a focus on HVAC or plumbing projects.
**Certifications (Preferred):**
+ Certified Professional Estimator (CPE).
+ Certified Cost Professional (CCP).
+ Estimating Certification (Mechanical).
+ Construction Estimating Certificate.
**Work Environment and Physical Requirements:**

**Overview**

The Opportunity
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
* Function in a lead water process engineer role, as a technical specialist or as a subject matter expert in the areas of conventional water treatment using processes such as coagulation, clarification, softening, media filtration; and advanced water treatment processes such as membrane filtration, reverse osmosis (brackish, seawater), UV/AOP, ozonation, carbon adsorption, and/or distribution system water quality. Key Responsibilities
Engineering:

AECOM has a position available for Senior Construction Safety Professionals in LaGrange, GA. Atlanta, GA, Columbus, GA, Auburn, AL, Phoenix AZ or Mesa , AZ. In this role, the person will be working at a client's site full-time and act as an owner's representative at a large data center campus construction site. As the owner's representative and along with the construction general contractor, this person will review and collaborate on their safety programs to promote a culture of safety across the sites.
The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Monitor and advise on client's EHS culture and support implementation of EHS procedures and regulatory requirements at the site.
Independently develops, implements, and maintains safety and health programs, systems, and procedures.
Under minimal direction supervises personnel engaged in the ES&H functions within the company or on the same project.
Monitors and prevents hazards and diseases in the work area.
Supervises personnel engaged in monitoring and preventing hazards and diseases that could be present throughout the work sites.
Work with and advise the contractor in identification and implementation of corrective actions for identified deficiencies or issues.
Review and advise on the Contractor Environmental Health and Safety Plan (CEHSP) for conformance with client requirements and local regulations.
Serves in a liaison capacity with the resident contract agency representative and other various agencies engaged in promoting environmental, safety, and health activities.
Interface and support the construction management team at site by delivering current, accurate and timely data on Contractor EHS performance, including Leading and Lagging Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), trends, incident management, environmental monitoring/responsibilities', EHS metrics and other key information that enable the construction management to make informed timely decisions.
Represent client's Construction EHS Team by participating/attending essential meetings not limited to general contractor's (GC) all hands, Stand Downs, Orientations, Safety Committee, EHS Leads, Activity Briefing, Coordination Meeting etc.
Drafts all necessary reports to Federal, State, and local agencies, as well as client stakeholders.
Keeps informed of all existing and proposed changes in occupational health and safety regulations. Assists in the development and conducts basic ES&H training to employees.

Communicates programs to enhance employee awareness of prevention and compliance.

Attend and facilitate client specific training, campaigns and initiatives as requested.

Please take note this role will require travel outside of the Atlanta Metropolitan area (from days to weeks) to support projects as needed across the region and the United States.
The job responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
+ Utilizing various techniques to generate data from remedial or investigative field work. Field work includes but is not limited to soil/groundwater/vapor sampling, soil boring/monitoring well installations with various drilling techniques (i.e., DPT, HSA, sonic, air rotary, mud-rotary, etc.), operations and maintenance of remedial systems, etc.
+ Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
+ Developing knowledge of job-specific federal, state, and local laws and regulations and assigned job specifications.
+ Detecting problems when using standardized procedures because of the condition of sample, difficulties with the equipment, etc.
+ Proposing appropriate analytical methods and techniques. Assisting in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge.
+ Interpreting and recording data, conducting analyses, comparing findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations.
**Qualifications**
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ BA/BS in Geology or related field + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Masters Degree in Geology or related field

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environmental Scientist for employment in the Atlanta, GA office. This position would support the Environmental business line, primarily working on Federal/CERCLA/FUDs projects including Superfund and DOD sites.
