ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct daily walk-through surveillances on assigned project(s) and/or fabrication facilities. Inspect materials and fabricated products, on-site materials/equipment, and verify installation processes to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory standards. Document and communicate inspection results. Identify and recommend solutions for non-conforming items and nonconformance of QA/QC policies and procedures. Follow-through to ensure nonconformances are resolved. Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities. Interpret specifications and clarify procedural issues for workers. Verify that all contractual and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated for the project, and as directed by QA/QC Manager or Supervisor. Assess product for compliance to specifications and procedures. Assist with the development of risk management strategies. Contribute to suggestions for improvements in communication and monitoring. Maintain daily logs of project quality and surveillances. Support logged information with photographs/videos - photographing must be in accordance with client's privacy policies. File appropriate and timely inspection and compliance reports. Prior NDT Level II (VT) certification is required, in accordance with SNT-TC-1A and endorsed by an ASNT NDT Level III. 3 years minimum experience in Visual Testing (VT). Welding experience is preferred but not required. Biopharmaceutical, high-purity inspection experience is required. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, processes, and methods). Thorough knowledge of company QA/QC policies, procedures and standards. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems before major difficulties develop. Auditing skills. MS Office skills and ability/desire to learn new software. Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills. The employee is responsible for all quality control activity on their assigned line on the production floor. They are responsible for using only the equipment that is assigned to them, along with complying with all departmental safety requirements. Job Functions Check daily schedules to assure that no changes have taken place Read all work order information prior to start up Match all component numbers to work order making sure they match Review all printed material for accuracy and appropriateness for use Match batch approval to work order signing if information is correct Take temperature of product and record on the QC worksheet. Inspect all codes on lines, jars, bottles, labels, folding cartons, packers, and shippers. Any mechanical problems found at this time should be conveyed to the mechanic and line leader. All issues concerning paperwork, components or batching will be reported to the Lead. Make sure all information is correct and sign the paperwork. The Quality Control Inspector is to inspect the quality of the grating for all specified jobs. Work with all levels of the organization including, the Business Unit Manager, Supervisors, and Associates to create a smooth, defect-free process. Sample production from every station to significantly reduce/eliminate escapes from your assigned Business Unit. Approve and/or perform first-article inspections on a job requiring this level of oversight. Assure all associates are trained/certified (if required) to operate to perform the tasks they are being asked to perform. Assist in the training, development, and/or creation of proper training materials as required. Perform any required QCHECKs in the Business Unit. The measurement of effectiveness will be a reduction of IRRs in the Inspector's assigned Business Unit and no escapes from the Inspector's assigned Business Unit to other areas. Inspect output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality. Using gauges such as tape measure, calipers, and micrometers to measure products and assure Quality is built into the product. Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods. Check that the production line adheres to standards and procedures and complies with the Customer standards. Ask the Question: "Is there an SOP for this Process". QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR Quality Inspectors are responsible for monitoring and evaluating internal production processes, examining products to determine their quality and engaging with employees and management and gathering product feedback, among other duties.
