Capital One Shared Services Operations is looking for candidates to support the growing trade finance quality assurance team. The team validates a select group of trade clients transacting with international and domestic parties. Considering the regulatory, AML, financial and operational risk associated with trade transactions, candidates must evidence the highest levels of ownership, attention to detail, critical thinking and risk management. The primary function of the TFQA team is to minimize the risk to the bank and the customer while ensuring that Trade Finance QA is audit ready.
Trade Finance Services is a key unit within the Treasury Management and Trade Finance organization which sits under Commercial Lending Operations. Trade Finance supports enterprise-wide clients for several Trade Finance products including Commercial (trade) and Standby Letters of Credit and Documentary Collections.
The ability to learn quickly and to adapt to change are critical skills to the role. Applicants will possess exceptional communication skills. Additionally, they should demonstrate an ability to clearly convey intricate concepts and issues in a concise way, as well as work collaboratively among stakeholders to help facilitate ongoing change management.
Responsibilities
Working autonomously to review transactions such as letters of credit for OFAC completion, AML due diligence, KYC data, credit approval, etc. processed by the Trade Finance team
Working with excel, google suite, macros and SQL's
Generating and reviewing reports from GTSnet for incomplete/inaccurate information
Expectation to present data trends to Trade Finance team as well as Audit and control testing groups
Ensuring issues discovered during reviews are remediated within appropriate timeframe and escalating where necessary
Identifying issue trends and creating analysis reporting
Keeping management informed of metrics and issues through email communications, etc.

The Construction Disbursement Administration (CDA) group is responsible for managing roughly 200 commercial construction projects simultaneously. We are currently seeking a Loan Disbursement Specialist to join our Construction Disbursements Team. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is located in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Construction Disbursement Administration (CDA) group is responsible for managing roughly 200 commercial construction projects simultaneously. We work with multiple departments around the Bancorp to ensure that construction is progressing properly and all agreements within the loan documentation are being followed by all parties. We have currently switched to a new construction monitoring system and are working to streamline and improve our processes in all aspects of construction monitoring. The Salt Lake City group works closely with one another and we maintain a collaborative mentality when monitoring the construction loans assigned to us. We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard and jump in with both feet into our team and help us maintain our high standards of service within the department.
The Disbursement Specialist will:
+ Review, analyze and process customer loan draws for commercial and residential construction projects, loan fund disbursements, equity draws, etc., including review of invoices, lien waivers, and budget.
+ Prepare payoff quotes, credit bids, default letters and loan modifications.
+ Schedule and direct pre-construction discussion with Borrower, Builder, and RM when requested.
+ Administer participation loans, coordinate with participating/lead bank(s).
+ Order, input, and review inspection reports.
+ Updates and maintains various reports and ticklers for loan maintenance.
+ Assists with and may serve as liaison with lenders, loan administration, and outside vendors.
+ Monitor and may process interest rate changes.
+ Review loans for past due status, insurance coverage, tickler exceptions, etc.
+ Ensure loan administration is consistent with loan documents, bank and department policies and procedures.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
+ 1+ yrs experience with commercial, real estate, construction or loan servicing process and procedures, loan documentation or processing or other directly related experience.
+ Working knowledge of lending disbursement processes, procedures and loan documentation.
+ Working knowledge of standard construction budget and loan servicing practices and techniques.
+ Must have solid audit, problem solving, data entry and customer service skills.
+ Ability to review and process data per loan documentation.
+ Good time management and organizational skills.
+ Must be accurate, detail oriented and able to multi-task.
+ Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Working knowledge of computer software programs such as word, excel, etc.
+ Requires High School Degree or Equivalent
+ A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
Location:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office. This position is located in downtown Salt Lake City, UT.
