Role Summary: As a Digital Design Intern, you'll collaborate with experienced engineers and designers to develop and refine digital components for cutting-edge products. This internship offers hands-on experience in RTL design, simulation, and verification using the industry standard tools, contributing directly to the development of high-performance chips and Analog-Mixed signal systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in creating and updating RTL (Register Transfer Level) designs using Verilog
* Collaborate with analog and design verification teams to define specifications
* Run simulations to validate design functionality and performance
* Implement control logic for analog circuits and digital state machines
* Review synthesis and power reports to optimize timing and energy efficiency
* Troubleshoot and resolve timing, area, and power issues

Design Verification Intern
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Verification Intern to join our CSS DV team. You will work alongside experienced design and verification engineers to validate IP and subsystem-level designs for high-performance semiconductor products in consumer markets.
This role offers hands-on experience with System Verilog based verification, simulation environments, testbench development, and functional coverage Ideal for students or early-career engineers exploring a path into ASIC/SoC development.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in developing and executing verification plans for digital IP blocks and subsystems.
* Develop, enhance, and maintain testbench components using System Verilog, UVM, or similar methodologies.
* Run simulations, analyze results, identify failures, and help debug issues.
* Create directed and constrained-random tests to validate functionality and corner cases.
* Perform functional, code, and assertion coverage reporting, review, and tracking.
* Work closely with design and architecture teams to clarify specifications and ensure coverage completeness.
* Support automation flows and continuous regression infrastructure with scripting.
* Document verification environments, methodologies, and results.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Pursuing a Bachelor's / Master's / PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Strong understanding of digital logic design and computer architecture.
* Coursework or practical exposure to:
* Verilog/System Verilog or VHDL
* RTL design principles
* Simulation workflows
* Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl, Bash, etc.).

DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International is seeking to hire a Civil Intern to work out of one of the Columbia, SC office. The successful employee will work under the direction of a Project Engineer or Project Manager to generate design calculations and reports, discipline-specific construction plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates. You may also have the opportunity to work on-site under the direction of a Construction Manager assisting with and documenting construction inspection activities, researching and solving problems in the field, and assuring conformance to plans/specifications.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar program
Software proficiency - Microsoft Office
Knowledge or experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is preferred
Strong analytical skills
Excellent writing and communication skills, time management, ability to multitask and prioritize competing project obligations
Ability to work well with others and capacity to learn new skills
COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position is $15- $25 per hour This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
