JOB OVERVIEW: This will involve set up, adjusting, maintaining, and configuring processing equipment according to assigned specifications, and regular communication with production personnel and supervisors and the completion of required paperwork. Nature and Scope This position is a member of the Manufacturing Team. The Manufacturing Team is responsible for activities associated with the manufacture of safe, effective and sterile pharmaceuticals in accordance with company SOPs, policies and cGMPs. The Manufacturing Team ensure aseptic and sanitary conditions are maintained where required, that appropriate manufacturing area and equipment records are neat and accurate and that safe, effective and professional behavior is displayed at all times. In conjunction with Production Management the Manufacturing Team provides input and assistance to other Departments as needed, playing a critical role in maintaining production schedules and meeting Company goals. The Team Member will be able to participate in all aspects of the Manufacturing Process. The Manufacturing Process includes loading of glass vials, stoppers, caps and seals into manufacturing machinery, unloading of finished product from the manufacturing machinery and the set-up/tear-down and line clearances of the manufacturing equipment. Job Summary: The primary purpose of this job is to safely and efficiently operate and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment in the manufacturing of plastic film. This position would be expected to learn the process of making plastic film and how the equipment operates. Training is provided; however, each team member is expected to be in charge of their own learning goals. Shift work, overtime, and call-ins will be required, as needed, for the safe and effective operation of the film lines. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks associated with processing, packaging and blending polymer products. Requirements • Operating packaging equipment such as boxing stations and bagging stations. • Erecting, pre-labeling, and preparing packaging for customers, clients, and other end users. • Performing "Class A" cleanups on packaging equipment. • Performing mandatory facility checks including scales, metal deflectors, and magnets. • Responsible for the safe operations of power trucks. • Responsible for the safe and secure operations of extrusion and/or compounding feed system equipment as directed by management. • Building batches to specified product formulas, supplying material to additive feeders, filling and positioning tote bins and operating fiber processing equipment. • Responsible for the safe and secure operations of extrusion and/or compounding equipment such as extruders and/or compounders, temperature controllers, sluiceways, quench tanks, pelletizers, cooler-screeners, and product transfer equipment. • Monitoring and recording raw materials used in the process, processing conditions, quality test results, and other production data. • Performing "Class A" cleanups on extrusion and compounding equipment. • Service as a resource on quality improvement teams and safety teams.
